Iraq Showcases Growing Innovation and Business Ecosystem through Unified Pavilion at LEAP 2026
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Sep 30, 2026 — Iraq marked a significant presence at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh through a unified Iraq Pavilion, bringing together a diverse group of Iraqi companies to showcase the country’s growing capabilities across technology, finance, digital transformation, logistics, tourism and the creative industries.

Held from 31 August to 3 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center (RECC) in Malham, LEAP 2026 brought together technology leaders, investors, startups, policymakers and innovators from around the world, providing a global platform for emerging technologies, investment and collaboration.
Iraq’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening its presence within the regional and global innovation landscape, while creating new opportunities for Iraqi businesses to connect with international investors, partners and technology leaders.
Rather than participating as individual exhibitors, companies from across Iraq came together under one national pavilion, presenting a unified representation of the country’s evolving business and innovation ecosystem. The Pavilion highlighted the diversity of Iraqi enterprise, bringing together established businesses and emerging companies operating across fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, smart solutions, logistics, tourism, creative industries and advanced manufacturing.
Narden Mohammed Arif, General Manager at Qafia Creative Agency said: “Iraq’s participation at LEAP 2026 represents an important opportunity to showcase the talent, ambition and capabilities emerging from our private sector. By bringing Iraqi companies together under one unified Pavilion, we are presenting a stronger and more cohesive picture of an Iraq that is embracing innovation, building new capabilities and actively seeking partnerships that can contribute to long-term economic growth.”
The Iraq Pavilion also provided participating companies with an opportunity to engage directly with potential investors, partners and industry leaders, exchange expertise and explore opportunities for collaboration across regional and international markets.
Iraq’s presence at LEAP comes at a time of growing regional focus on digital transformation and technology-led economic development. As one of the world’s major gatherings for technology and innovation, LEAP provides an important platform for countries and companies to establish new relationships and connect their capabilities with emerging opportunities across the global digital economy. The 2026 edition concluded with nearly US$15 billion in announced investments and agreements across areas including AI infrastructure, data centres, cloud computing, technology manufacturing and venture capital.
Arif added: “Qafia Creative Agency is one of the companies of Nass Al Iraq Holding. Our participation goes beyond showcasing individual companies. It is about demonstrating what Iraq can contribute to the region’s innovation economy and opening doors for greater collaboration, investment and knowledge exchange. Iraqi entrepreneurs and businesses have significant potential, and platforms such as LEAP allow us to bring that potential to an international audience.”
Through its participation at LEAP 2026, the Iraq Pavilion seeks to strengthen the visibility of Iraqi businesses internationally, facilitate meaningful commercial connections and position the country’s private sector as an increasingly active contributor to the region’s technology and innovation landscape.
Participating companies
The Iraq Pavilion brought together companies operating across a broad range of sectors, including fintech, advertising and creative services, trading and technology solutions, AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation, data centres, smart solutions, logistics, tourism, content and digital media, financial services and 3D printing and manufacturing.

Dr. Michael Omidi Formalizes Charitable Support for the ASPCA
-
Dr. Michael Omidi, a Beverly Hills facial and body plastic surgeon, is committing ongoing charitable contributions to the ASPCA to support animal rescue and rehabilitation work.
A commitment outside the operating room
California, USA, Oct 01, 2026, ZEX PR WIRE — Dr. Michael Omidi has practiced as a facial and body plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills since 2005. Most of what the public knows about him comes from his surgical work: rhinoplasty, breast surgery, body contouring, and the Mommy Makeover procedures he performs for patients across Southern California.
Less visible is the time he spends on causes that have nothing to do with his practice. Dr. Omidi has made recent charitable contributions to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), and he is now formalizing that support as a standing commitment rather than a one-time gift.
Why the ASPCA
Dr. Omidi did not grow up around a formal animal welfare organization. His interest in the ASPCA’s work came later, from watching how the same instincts that drive good patient care, attention to suffering, and a willingness to act on it, apply just as well outside medicine.
“You spend a career treating people who are in pain and trying to help them get better,” Dr. Omidi said. “It is hard to see that kind of need in animals and decide it is somebody else’s problem.”
The ASPCA works on rescue, rehabilitation, and reducing animal abuse. Dr. Omidi’s contributions go toward that general mission rather than a single program, which he says reflects how the organization operates.
What the commitment covers
The pledge has three parts:
Recurring financial support. Dr. Omidi will continue making charitable contributions to the ASPCA on an ongoing basis, rather than treating his recent gifts as isolated.
Public acknowledgment. Dr. Omidi is naming the ASPCA specifically, rather than folding the giving into a general philanthropy statement, so patients and colleagues know where the support goes.
No overlap with his medical missions. Dr. Omidi separately serves as Head of Operations for Hope, leading medical and surgical missions to Vietnam, Colombia, and the Philippines that treat indigent patients with congenital deformities, burns, and cancers. He is keeping that work distinct from the ASPCA commitment rather than presenting one as a substitute for the other.
“These are different problems,” Dr. Omidi said. “One is about people who cannot get access to surgery they need. The other is about animals who cannot advocate for themselves at all. Both deserve attention on their own terms.”
How this fits the rest of his work
Dr. Omidi has built his surgical reputation on a fairly narrow philosophy: only take on procedures where he can consistently deliver the best outcome, whether that is a primary rhinoplasty or a complex revision case. He applies a similar logic to his charitable choices. Rather than spreading contributions across many causes, he has picked a small number, medical missions through Hope and now a standing commitment to the ASPCA, and stayed with them.
“I would rather be consistent about a few things than scattered across a lot of them,” he said. “That is true in surgery and it is true in giving.”
What comes next
Dr. Omidi plans to keep the ASPCA contributions running alongside his surgical mission work, without treating either as finished. He is not announcing a specific dollar figure or a fundraising campaign. The commitment is simpler than that: continued, named support for an organization whose work he has already backed, made explicit rather than incidental.
For a surgeon whose public identity is built almost entirely around precision, technique, and patient outcomes, the announcement is a small but deliberate signal that his attention extends past the practice on Beverly Hills.

Matthew Stiles on the Questions to Ask Before You Buy a Cybersecurity Tool
-
Matthew Stiles, Channel Sales Director at Zero Networks, brings years of experience in technology and cybersecurity sales to conversations about how businesses evaluate security technology.
Start With the Problem
Florida, USA, Oct 01, 2026, ZEX PR WIRE — When a business is considering a new cybersecurity tool, the technology itself can quickly become the focus of the conversation. Features, capabilities, integrations, and product demonstrations can all be useful, but they do not necessarily answer the most important question: What problem is the business actually trying to solve?
For Matthew Stiles, that question is worth considering before getting too far into the technology.
Stiles brings extensive experience in technology sales and a strong understanding of the cybersecurity industry to his current role at Zero Networks. His professional focus includes cybersecurity technology and data center technology, areas that continue to evolve as businesses adapt to new technology and security challenges.
Starting with the problem helps put a technology decision into context. A business should understand what it needs to improve before deciding which type of tool might address that need.
How Will It Fit With Existing Technology?
Cybersecurity rarely exists as a single system. Businesses rely on multiple technologies and processes, which means a new tool has to make sense within the environment that is already in place.
That makes compatibility an important consideration.
Before moving forward with a new technology, it is worth understanding how it will fit with existing systems and workflows. A tool may have strong capabilities, but those capabilities are less useful if implementing it creates unnecessary complications for the organization.
There is also a practical question of whether a new solution adds something meaningful or simply duplicates capabilities that the business already has.
Those are not always easy questions to answer from a product demonstration alone.
Who Will Be Using It?
The people making a technology decision are not always the same people who will use the technology every day. That difference can matter.
Executives may be focused on business risk, cost, and the overall value of an investment. Technical teams may be more concerned with how a system works in practice and how it fits into their existing responsibilities.
Both perspectives are important.
A cybersecurity tool has to make sense from a business standpoint, but it also needs to be practical for the people responsible for working with it. Understanding those different perspectives can help a company make a more informed decision.
What Does Implementation Look Like?
Buying a technology solution is only one part of the process. A business also has to consider what happens after the purchase.
Implementation can involve time, planning, training, and changes to existing processes. Those factors can be easy to overlook when the focus is primarily on what a product can do.
This is one reason it is useful to ask questions about implementation early. How long will the process take? What resources will the business need? What kind of training will employees require? Will existing workflows need to change?
The answers can help a business understand the actual commitment involved rather than looking only at the purchase price.
What Happens After the Purchase?
Another consideration is what kind of support a company will receive after adopting a new technology.
Technology decisions are long-term decisions. A business is not simply buying a product and walking away. There may be questions during implementation, adjustments as the organization changes, or new needs that develop over time.
Understanding the available support and the vendor-customer relationship can therefore be as important as understanding the product itself.
Looking Beyond the Feature List
Technology companies naturally focus on what their products can do. That information matters, but it is only part of the decision.
For Stiles, the broader business context is important when thinking about cybersecurity technology. A company needs to consider its goals, its existing environment, the people who will use the solution, and the resources required to put it into practice.
That can lead to a more useful conversation than simply comparing feature lists.
There may not be one cybersecurity solution that makes sense for every business. Different organizations have different needs, priorities, and resources. The right questions can help make those differences clearer.
Making a More Informed Technology Decision
Stiles brings extensive experience in technology sales and cybersecurity to his current role at Zero Networks. His experience has given him a strong understanding of the technology industry and the conversations businesses have when evaluating cybersecurity solutions.
Cybersecurity is an area where those decisions can carry significant importance. Businesses need to understand what they are trying to accomplish and how a potential solution fits into the larger organization.
Before buying a cybersecurity tool, asking questions about the problem, existing technology, users, implementation, and ongoing support can help create a clearer picture of what the decision actually involves.
The goal is not simply to find a tool with an impressive list of features. It is to understand whether the technology makes sense for the business using it.

Carziqo Expands UR-NX Autonomous Ride-Hailing Operations to Miami During October Mobility Festival
-
The company links its Miami operations to a month-long mobility initiative, targeting a market shaped by tourism, consumer spending and diverse everyday travel needs.
MIAMI, Florida, Oct 01, 2026, ZEX PR WIRE — Carziqo says its UR-NX series autonomous ride-hailing vehicles are now operating in designated areas of Miami, bringing the company’s mobility offering to a major visitor and consumer market during the October Carziqo Future Mobility Festival.

The development connects a city-level operating initiative with a broader company message about intelligent transportation and greener urban journeys. For Carziqo, Miami offers an opportunity to develop its service in a market where tourism, business activity and everyday travel intersect—and where convenience is an important part of the customer experience.
The company describes its October festival as a month-long celebration guided by the theme: “Advancing greener mobility through intelligent technology, connecting people to more convenient everyday journeys and a more sustainable urban future.”
Its Miami operations give that theme a practical business focus. The UR-NX deployment forms part of Carziqo’s stated strategy of connecting autonomous vehicle technology with identifiable passenger needs in commercially significant urban markets.
Miami’s wider visitor economy provides context for that strategy. According to the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Greater Miami and Miami Beach welcomed 28.3 million visitors in 2025. Visitor spending across Miami-Dade County reached $22.7 billion, including expenditure on accommodation, dining, shopping, transportation and entertainment.
Those figures describe the broader regional economy, rather than demand for any individual mobility provider. They nevertheless illustrate the scale and diversity of the market surrounding Carziqo’s operating initiative. For a ride-hailing business, the opportunity lies in serving the journeys that connect different parts of that economy.
A visitor’s day can involve several separate destinations, while residents and workers have recurring travel needs of their own. From a commercial perspective, this mix gives mobility providers a reason to look beyond a single customer segment. It also makes the relationship between service coverage, vehicle availability and actual trip demand particularly important.
Carziqo’s announcement reflects that wider view. The company identifies leisure travelers, residents, professionals and service workers as groups whose travel patterns inform its approach. Its stated ambition is to develop a service that remains relevant beyond a particular event or seasonal occasion.
The UR-NX series operates within designated areas, according to the company. Availability depends on the applicable operating area and conditions, with current service information communicated through official Carziqo channels.
That defined scope is central to understanding the announcement. The business proposition rests on how effectively Carziqo can serve the journeys available within its operating footprint. A substantial consumer market creates a setting for growth; translating that setting into a useful service requires consistent execution.
Carziqo says its priorities include understanding demand, managing vehicle availability, maintaining service quality and learning from actual use. These priorities connect its technology proposition to the day-to-day requirements of running a passenger mobility business.
They also provide a useful framework for assessing the strategic significance of Miami. Vehicle deployment establishes a presence, while the longer-term commercial value depends on whether the service can become a practical choice for repeat journeys. Clear service information and a dependable passenger experience are therefore important to the company’s stated ambitions.
The Future Mobility Festival supplies the brand context for this operating development. Taking place throughout October, the initiative brings Carziqo’s goals for convenience, intelligent technology and sustainability under one theme. The company presents its Miami operations as an expression of those goals during the festival month.
Carziqo’s sustainability message also extends to how fleets are managed. In its announcement, the company highlights vehicle deployment, unnecessary travel between trips, maintenance and matching capacity to demand as areas that require attention. It describes intelligent fleet management as a way to pursue more efficient operations while keeping passenger needs central to service development.
These are operational objectives whose significance lies in implementation. The announcement positions greener mobility as an ongoing direction for the business, with attention to the decisions that shape how vehicles are used.
For readers following Carziqo’s development, the Miami initiative brings together three elements of its strategy: a presence in a substantial consumer market, an emphasis on practical fleet operations and a brand platform intended to explain the purpose behind its technology.
The October festival gives the announcement a timely setting, while the company’s stated ambitions extend beyond the celebration. Carziqo says it intends to continue developing the UR-NX series around actual travel needs and lessons from operations.
With the series now operating in designated areas of Miami, according to Carziqo, the company has tied its festival message to a concrete operating initiative. The next measure of progress will be how that presence develops into a consistent service for the journeys it is positioned to serve.
