Cyfendo Focuses on Software Security Fixes for UK Small and Medium Businesses

The application security platform links vulnerability investigation with patch testing and developer review.

Mountain View, California, United States, 29th Oct 2026 — Cyfendo is focusing its UK outreach on the work development teams face after a software security alert: investigating the finding, preparing a repair and checking the result. The Silicon Valley company’s AI application security platform connects these tasks for small and medium-sized businesses, with developers reviewing the evidence before accepting code changes.

Cyfendo, an AI application security company helping development teams investigate vulnerabilities and test proposed fixes.

The UK government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025/2026 found that 31% of businesses were using AI, adopting it or actively considering doing so. Among that group,24% reported having cyber security practices or processes to manage the associated risks. These figures cover AI use broadly, rather than specifically AI-generated software, but provide context for businesses deciding how to manage new technology.

For a development team at a small or medium-sized business, a security finding can create a second project: establish whether the issue is real, work out what needs changing and check that the repair preserves the application’s normal behaviour. Cyfendo connects those tasks in a workflow that keeps the developer responsible for the final decision.

“Getting a security alert is only the beginning,” said Bryan Vuong, founder and CEO of Cyfendo. “Teams still need to understand whether the issue can be exploited, how to fix it, and whether the fix works without breaking the application. We built Cyfendo to help with that work and give developers evidence they can review before approving a change.”

Bryan Vuong, founder and CEO of Cyfendo, previously led engineering teams at Google and Meta.

Following a finding through to a tested fix

Consider an illustrative example: an application builds a database query by combining a command with text supplied by a user. A scanner may flag possible SQL injection. The next questions are whether that input can reach the query, whether it is handled safely along the way, and whether an attacker can change the query’s intended behaviour.

Cyfendo traces untrusted input through source code to sensitive operations. For supported findings, it uses an isolated environment to investigate exploitability and records evidence for review. It can then propose a code change, such as replacing a constructed query with a parameterised one, replay the demonstrated attack and run relevant existing application tests. This example illustrates the workflow; it is not a report of a particular customer incident.

The results describe what was tested in that environment. Production exposure also depends on configuration, permissions and other controls, and passing tests does not establish that an entire application is secure.

Developers inspect the evidence and proposed patch before deciding whether to accept it. Cyfendo does not directly merge patches into production software.

Use by development teams and security providers

The company is exploring relationships with UK managed security providers, distributors and testing consultancies serving small and medium-sized businesses. These discussions concern how code analysis and remediation checks could fit alongside existing testing and advisory services, including work between scheduled assessments.

Development teams can connect GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket repositories, upload project files or use the command line. Cyfendo also supports workflows involving AI coding tools, allowing teams to assess the resulting application code as it changes.

Cloud scans run in temporary sandboxes that are destroyed when the scan ends, with encrypted findings retained. Private Scan keeps source code off Cyfendo’s servers. When configured with a local model, code remains on the customer’s machine; when configured with an external AI provider, requests are sent to that provider using the customer’s own key and are subject to its terms and settings.

Evidence and availability

Cyfendo’s website currently reports 1,210 critical-severity findings across 335 scanned codebases, approximately four per codebase, with about seven in ten findings rated high or critical. These are company scan statistics, not a representative survey of UK businesses.

In its published evaluation of OWASP Java Benchmark v1.2, Cyfendo reported 94.06% recall and 96.38% precision. Those figures measure detection on benchmark cases. They are company-reported results, do not constitute OWASP endorsement, and do not independently validate the platform’s patching performance.

The platform is available now. A free plan includes up to 10,000 lines of code, five scans per month and limited patch evaluation. Paid self-service plans start at US$99 per month and include proposed patches and higher scan limits.

UK businesses interested in evaluating the platform, and organisations considering partnerships, reseller or distribution arrangements, can contact contact@cyfendo.com. Product information is available at https://cyfendo.com.

Cyfendo connects vulnerability detection, exploit investigation and patch testing, while developers retain control over code changes.

HappySeeds AI App and Video Builder Lets Small Businesses Build Full-Stack Apps and Marketing Videos by Chat

Published

on

Small businesses can launch a working app with payments built in, then create AI marketing videos to promote it, all by chatting.

Zimbabwe, 29th Oct 2026, Grand Newswire – HappySeeds is an AI app and video builder for small businesses that lets users build apps and websites by chatting, then create the marketing videos to promote them.

Growing online usually takes a developer to build the tools customers use and a creative team to get the business noticed. Most small business owners have neither. As an AI app and video builder, HappySeeds turns both jobs into a conversation, so anyone with an idea can launch a real product and make the videos that bring customers to it, without code or a film shoot.

Why It Matters

  • Real software, not just a page. Apps run on a real backend, so a business can take bookings, payments and sign-ups, not just list its services.
  • Video without a shoot. One product photo or a reference clip becomes a promo, so a new product can be shown in motion the day it arrives.
  • Building and growing in one flow. The workspace that publishes the site also tracks its traffic, while the videos send customers back to it.

Apps That Run a Business, Built by Chat

As an AI app builder, HappySeeds turns a request or a live template into a full-stack product ready to launch, such as a booking app, an online store or a client portal. Each build comes with what a real product needs: a database, user logins, Stripe payments through the business’s own account, and built-in AI features. Apps publish in one click with hosting and SEO metadata included, and owners can view the code at any time.

Product Videos From a Single Photo

On the promotion side, HappySeeds works as an AI video generator for product promos and ads, running on video models such as Seedance and Wan 3.0. Image to video turns one product photo into a new scene, and category templates let owners pick a format and swap in their own product.

Video remix starts from a reference clip or a social media link and rebuilds its structure around the brand’s own product and style. HappySeeds can also suggest ideas, write the prompt, and add voiceover, music and captions.

A neighborhood bakery, for example, could build an ordering app with Stripe checkout in the morning, turn a photo of its seasonal cake into a short video that afternoon, and check the site’s traffic the next day.

“Small businesses have always had to choose between building and growing, because doing both took two teams,” said Freya, Head of Growth & Partnerships at HappySeeds. “‘Build it. Grow it.’ means a shop owner can launch the app that runs the business and the video that fills it on the same day, just by chatting.”

HappySeeds is available at happyseeds.ai, with 30 free credits for new users and publishing included on the Free plan. Lite and Pro plans add more credits, custom domains, code export and watermark-free HD video.

Family Smile Dental Shares Halloween Dental Care Tips for Brooklyn Parents

Dr. Michael Irlin offers simple ways for families to enjoy trick-or-treating while looking after kids’ teeth

New York, New York, United States, 29th Oct 2026 – With Halloween falling on Saturday, Oct. 31, Brooklyn kids are getting ready to bring home bags full of candy. Dr. Michael Irlin of Family Smile Dental, a dental practice with offices in Sheepshead Bay and Midwood, is sharing practical tips to help parents keep the holiday fun and their children’s teeth healthy over the weekend and the days that follow.

Family Smile Dental Shares Halloween Dental Care Tips for Brooklyn Parents

The trouble with trick-or-treat candy

Sugar feeds the bacteria that naturally live in the mouth. Those bacteria produce acids that can wear down tooth enamel and lead to cavities, and the longer sugar stays on the teeth, the more time those acids have to work. Sticky, chewy and slow-dissolving candies tend to cling to teeth, which is why the way kids eat their treats matters along with how much they eat.

“Halloween is one of the most fun nights of the year for kids, and we don’t want parents to feel they have to take the fun out of it,” said Dr. Irlin. “What matters most is how often and for how long sugar stays on the teeth. A few small habits go a long way.”

Dr. Irlin’s five Halloween tips for parents

  1. Have a filling meal before heading out. Kids who head out with a full stomach are less likely to snack on candy along the route. Water is a good companion for the evening, too.
  2. Enjoy candy at set times, not all day. Eating treats in one sitting, ideally with or right after a meal, exposes teeth to sugar for a shorter time than nibbling for hours. Saliva production is higher during meals, which helps rinse teeth.
  3. Be mindful of sticky and slow-dissolving candy. Taffy, caramels, gummies and hard candies stay on teeth longer than most chocolate. Children with braces are usually advised to avoid hard and chewy candy that can damage brackets and wires.
  4. Rinse with water, then brush and floss as usual. Brushing for two minutes twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, plus flossing daily, still applies on Halloween night, even when bedtime runs late.
  5. Make a plan for the leftover candy. Let kids choose a few favorites, then put the rest out of sight or set it aside to share or donate. Fewer treats within reach means fewer sugar exposures during the week.

“The goal isn’t perfection,” said Dr. Irlin. “It’s having a simple plan: candy at set times, water afterward, and brushing before bed.”

Serving Brooklyn families from two neighborhoods

Family Smile Dental cares for children and adults at two Brooklyn offices: 2937 Avenue V in Sheepshead Bay and 1985 Ocean Avenue, Suite 1-D, in Midwood. The dentists at both offices work with families from across the borough, and the team speaks English, Russian, Uzbek and Ukrainian.

“We work in these neighborhoods, and we see how much Halloween is part of community life here,” said Dr. Irlin. “We would much rather help parents plan ahead than deal with problems later. If you have questions about your child’s teeth after the holiday, or it has been a while since their last checkup, our teams at both offices are happy to help.”

Cyprus IVF Centre Explains How Identification, Witnessing and Traceability Work in Its IVF Laboratories

Published

on

Nicosia, Cyprus, 29th Oct 2026 – Cyprus IVF Centre has published a patient-information guide explaining how patients are linked with their eggs, sperm and embryos through documented laboratory procedures, and how electronic witnessing supports those procedures.

Depending on the laboratory where treatment takes place, safeguards include chip-based electronic witnessing, barcode identification, electronic records and double witnessing by embryologists. The precise methods and verification points vary between laboratories.

The Chip ID Safety System provides an additional electronic identity check at defined laboratory steps, alongside physical labels, documented procedures and staff oversight. An alert requires staff review before work continues.

For donation treatment, donor identifiers and laboratory records maintain the connection between donor material, the recipient’s treatment and resulting embryos while protecting donor confidentiality.

These safeguards support identification and traceability. They do not eliminate all risk or guarantee treatment success.

“Patients place exceptional trust in us when eggs, sperm and embryos are handled during treatment. Electronic witnessing does not replace professional responsibility; it supports our clinical and embryology teams by helping verify identity, record critical stages and alert staff if a potential mismatch is detected.”

— Ümit İnak, Director, Cyprus IVF Centre

Patients considering treatment are welcome to ask the team which identification methods are used in the laboratory where their treatment will take place. The full guide is available at:
