Omni One Integrated into Counter-UAS Personnel Trainer for U.S. Marine Corps Evaluation at Quantico, Virginia

Counter-Drone Training Is Becoming One of the Fastest Growing Priorities of Western Militaries

Latest Defense Milestone Builds on Virtuix’s Growing Adoption Across All Major Branches of the U.S. Military

Virtuix Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VTIX), a leading developer of AI-driven, full-body simulation systems, today announced that its Omni One movement platform has been integrated into LeadTech’s next-generation Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Personnel Trainer, an AI-enabled counter-drone simulation platform designed to prepare warfighters to detect and defeat hostile drones through realistic marksmanship training with full-body movement.

Virtuix and LeadTech will install the simulation system at the Training and Education Command (TECOM) of the United States Marine Corps at Quantico, Virginia, where teams from the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton will evaluate the platform for future training applications. Watch a demo video of the system here: https://youtu.be/DXHdwFoUC-Q.

The counter-drone simulation builds on Virtuix’s accelerating momentum across the defense sector with all four major branches of the U.S. military. Recent milestones include Virtuix’s assignment as the lead integrator for a U.S. Marine Corps virtual fireteam trainer, an Air Force SBIR Phase I award, a development agreement with the U.S. Navy, deployments to the U.S. Army and Air National Guard, integration into advanced Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) training, and ongoing collaborations supporting military mission planning and simulation.

Virtuix was also recently recognized with a second consecutive AWE Auggie Award for Best Interaction Product, underscoring the industry’s recognition of Omni One as the leading movement platform for immersive full-body interaction across defense, robotics, and enterprise applications.

“The rapid proliferation of drones has fundamentally changed the battlefield, creating an urgent need for realistic and scalable counter-UAS training,” said Jan Goetgeluk, Founder and CEO of Virtuix. “Our AI-driven Omni One platform enables warfighters to move naturally through complex virtual environments while maintaining full situational awareness, creating a level of immersion that is difficult to achieve with stationary virtual training systems. This collaboration with LeadTech is another example of the strong momentum Virtuix is building across the defense sector, where our technology is being adopted for increasingly sophisticated military training applications.”

Counter-UAS capabilities have become a critical priority for militaries seeking to protect personnel and critical infrastructure from evolving aerial threats. As drones continue to advance in capability and affordability, military organizations are placing greater emphasis on immersive simulation that enables warfighters to train repeatedly in highly realistic operational environments before entering costly live-fire exercises.

The C-UAS simulator recreates real-world military training ranges as highly accurate digital twins, allowing warfighters to train in virtual environments that closely mirror the locations where they will later conduct live-fire exercises. Initial environments include the Marine Corps’ Little Baghdad urban training complex at Twentynine Palms, with additional virtual ranges planned for Quantico, Fort Benning, and other training locations. By faithfully reproducing terrain, buildings, and engagement scenarios, the platform is designed to maximize the transfer of skills from virtual training to live operations.

Using Omni One, trainees are able to move naturally through these environments without the constraints of traditional virtual training systems. During exercises, users move from building to building, navigate streets and corners, communicate over simulated tactical radios, and engage hostile first-person-view (FPV) drones using realistic ballistics, environmental effects, and tactical decision-making. The system supports both individual and multi-user training, enabling squads to rehearse coordinated counter-drone operations before deploying to live ranges.

“Counter-drone engagements are inherently movement-intensive,” said Chip Northrup, Chief Executive Officer of LeadTech. “Warfighters don’t fight while standing in one place. They move through buildings, around corners, communicate with teammates, and continuously reposition while tracking fast-moving aerial threats. We teach correct angular lead on aerial targets, but we emphasize the need for the team to conceal its position and take cover proactively. Integrating Omni One into our C-UAS Personnel Trainer allows trainees to practice these movements naturally, creating a far more realistic and effective training experience than conventional virtual reality systems.”

Virtuix believes natural movement will become an increasingly important component of next-generation military simulation as armed forces seek to improve training realism while reducing cost, expanding access, and accelerating warfighter readiness. By combining unrestricted full-body locomotion with AI-driven, immersive environment simulation, Omni One enables military personnel to train the way they fight, moving naturally through the environments where future missions will take place.

Houston Residents Urged to Know Their Locksmith Options Before a Crisis Hits

Published

on

Right Away Locksmith, a 24/7 Houston-based locksmith company owned by Chavah Rachel Rottman, is highlighting that not all locksmith services are the same — emergency, residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith work each require different skills and tools. The release uses this distinction as its news hook, explaining how choosing the wrong type of help during a lockout can cost people time and money. It features a quote from Rottman urging residents to understand these service categories before an emergency happens, then walks through what each category covers. The release closes with a direct call to action: save the company’s number now and call 832-850-5261 for round-the-clock help. It wraps up with standard boilerplate, contact details, and SEO metadata optimized around “Houston Locksmith,” “Emergency Locksmith,” and “24/7 Locksmith.”

Houston, Texas, United States, 14th Sep 2026 – Not every locksmith call is the same, and Houston-area residents are being encouraged to understand the different types of locksmith services available before an emergency strikes.

For homeowners, drivers, and business owners across Houston, a lockout can happen at the worst possible moment, and not every locksmith call resolves it the same way. Emergency lockouts, rekeying, commercial access systems, and automotive key replacement each require different tools, training, and response times, yet many callers do not realize these fall under different service categories until they are standing outside a locked door at 2 a.m. In a city the size of Houston, where residents commute long distances and businesses often operate outside standard hours, knowing who to call, and why, can make the difference between a five-minute fix and an hours-long ordeal.

“Most people do not think about what kind of locksmith they need until they are already locked out,” said Chavah Rachel Rottman, Owner of Right Away Locksmith. “Knowing the difference between an emergency locksmith, a residential locksmith, and an automotive locksmith can save people time, money, and a lot of stress when something goes wrong. A general handyman or an unlicensed provider often cannot handle the specialized tools that modern locks and vehicle key systems require.”

Right Away Locksmith serves the greater Houston area around the clock, offering emergency lockout assistance, residential rekeying and lock installation, commercial access and hardware services, and automotive key and fob solutions. Understanding the different types of locksmith services available helps residents choose the right response for the situation, since a home lockout calls for a different skill set than a broken key in an ignition or a commercial door hardware failure. Residential work typically involves rekeying, deadbolt installation, and lock repair after a break-in or lost key. Commercial locksmith work covers master key systems, access control, and hardware for offices and retail spaces. Automotive locksmith services, meanwhile, require specialized equipment to cut and program transponder keys and fobs for late-model vehicles. Emergency locksmith service overlaps with all three categories, since a lockout, a broken key, or a failed lock can happen at a home, a vehicle, or a business at any hour. The company’s technicians are dispatched 24/7, with response times built around genuine emergencies rather than scheduled appointments.

Houston residents are encouraged to save a locksmith’s number before an emergency happens, not after. Anyone locked out of a home, vehicle, or business in the Houston area can call Right Away Locksmith at 832-850-5261 for immediate assistance, day or night.

PopDEX Surpasses $61M TVL and $2B Trading Volume in Closed Beta

Published

on

Singapore, Singapore, September 14th, 2026, Chainwire

PopDEX a trader-first perpetual decentralized exchange, has surpassed $61 million in total value locked (TVL) and $2 billion in cumulative trading volume during its Closed Beta, as the perpetual decentralized exchange builds early traction ahead of broader market expansion. The platform now supports 66 trading pairs spanning major cryptocurrencies, RWA-related markets, and emerging assets.

The milestones provide an early indication of trading activity and liquidity developing on PopDEX while access remains in Closed Beta. The platform has used this period to test its market structure under live conditions, gather feedback from traders and liquidity providers, and expand the range of markets available through its onchain trading environment.

“Closed Beta was meant to tell us whether traders would actually use what we were building, and $2 billion in trading volume gives us a pretty clear answer,” said Zach Prater, Head of Traders at PopDEX. “The more important part now is what we learn from that activity. Traders are telling us where they want deeper markets, faster execution, and better tools, and we’re using that feedback to shape PopDEX before we open it more broadly.”

PopDEX is building around a CLOB-based market structure designed to support professional liquidity provision while maintaining a responsive trading experience for individual users. Through block batch processing and intra-block transaction ordering, the platform targets approximately 100–150ms execution responsiveness under normal conditions. More frequent index-price and mark-price updates have also been introduced to support liquidation monitoring, conditional orders and risk management, while the platform continues to test liquidation and ADL scenarios under extreme market conditions.

Market coverage has expanded alongside the underlying trading infrastructure. PopDEX has added crypto, RWA-related and community-driven markets throughout Closed Beta, most recently introducing perpetual contracts for PONS, CASHCAT and MARSCOIN in response to interest around Robinhood Chain and BNB Chain assets. Further market expansion is planned as PopDEX develops broader global asset exposure.

Closed Beta has also served as a live development environment. Feedback from traders and API users has informed improvements across account access, deposits and withdrawals, position management, risk visibility and API execution. PopDEX is now extending that work toward a more trader-friendly mobile experience through H5 browser support and a dedicated mobile app.

The platform is also experimenting with how trading incentives are structured. Its third Closed Beta reward distribution recognized early traders and community contributors, with the highest reward in the latest round exceeding $3,300 for a single address, based on public community receipts. PopDEX’s Meme Gang War, running from September 7 to September 21, adds another approach by determining the winning side according to the proportion of eligible participants achieving positive PnL rather than trading volume alone.

PopDEX’s Closed Beta development follows a $30 million strategic seed investment led by Foresight Ventures in May 2026, supporting liquidity, trading depth, product development and global market expansion. PopDEX is also working with ecosystem partners including Bitget Wallet to reduce friction for users accessing onchain perpetual markets.

As Closed Beta progresses, PopDEX will continue focusing on deeper liquidity, additional markets, execution infrastructure and greater access across devices. The longer-term goal is to build an onchain derivatives venue where crypto and broader global markets can be traded with the market depth, execution and risk infrastructure required by active and professional traders.

About PopDEX

PopDEX is a trader-first perpetual decentralized exchange focused on capital efficiency, professional trading experience, transparent market structure and value return for active contributors. PopDEX is building an onchain trading venue spanning crypto, RWA-related markets and broader global asset exposure.

Pleume Paris Launches the World’s First Hands-Free Hair Dryer with Patented Three-Mode Convertible Design

Published

on

Pleume Paris has launched the Pleume, a patented hair dryer with handheld, freestanding, and wall-mounted modes via a detachable magnetic handle; designed to let users dry and style their hair completely hands-free.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, 14th Sep 2026 — Pleume Paris announces the launch of Pleume, described by the company as the world’s first hands-free hair dryer. With a convertible and detachable magnetic handle, the dryer converts between handheld, freestanding, and wall-mounted operating modes, allowing users to dry and style their hair with both hands free to multitask or relax.

“Women have endured the 30-minute overhead arm workout for decades, because hair dryer designs haven’t fundamentally changed in that time,” said Jenson Lee, co-founder of Pleume Paris. “Pleume delivers salon-class airflow from a dryer that stands hands-free on your counter or mounts on your wall. It’s truly the first dryer that dries and styles your hair while your hands are free to send emails, do makeup, scroll your phone, or just relax after a long day. Cars now drive themselves; it’s about time hair dryers caught up.”

The design is fully patented, protected under U.S. Patent No. 12,376,659 with U.S. Design Patent Nos. D932,691S and D932,6912S. Pleume Paris states that there are no other hair dryers on the market that offer any remotely similar convertible handle designs, let alone hands free drying use, in a reasonable, convenient size.

One of Pleume’s primary goals is alleviating the pain and hassle of having to manually hold traditional hair dryers to dry hair, and the problem is well documented. Hairdressers, who dry and style hair all day, are one of the most studied groups for shoulder pain. The research points at one main cause: working with arms raised for prolonged periods of time. Studies have found that as many as 6 in 10 hairdressers experience shoulder pain in a given year, and that the longer and higher the arms stay up, the worse the pain gets. Doctors also list holding up arms for strenuous tasks such as manual hair drying over long periods of time as a leading cause of shoulder impingement, a common and painful shoulder condition.

Pleume’s freestanding and wall-mounted applications take this strain out of hair drying entirely.

A survey of 2,000 adults conducted by hair care brand Gee Hair found that women spend an average of approximately six and a half hours per week on hair care — more than 330 hours per year, the equivalent of two full weeks a year; an entire year’s worth of vacation. A separate survey conducted by the Today show and AOL similarly found that women’s daily hair and makeup routines total roughly two full weeks per year.

Pleume aims to give every one of those precious hours back as well as offering a seamlessly premium and weightless styling experience.

Pleume is built on the same high-speed brushless motor class and negative ionic technology used in leading premium dryers, housed in a compact aluminum body rather than the typical hard plastic. A detachable cord allows the unit to stand upright on a counter, and the dryer packs into an included leather travel case. It is currently available in two finishes, Amber and Blush, and ships across North and South America through pleumeparis.com with a two-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Pleume Paris introduced the product at CosmoProf North America in Las Vegas in July 2026, where it exhibited to retailers and international distributors.
