Egor Rubtsov Shares Key Takeaways from IFA 2026 on AI and Personalised Wellness
Drawing on more than a decade of experience building consumer digital products, CM MentalGrowth founder Egor Rubtsov explains how AI, scoring systems and connected devices can turn user data into actionable recommendations.
Cyprus, 6th Oct 2026 – At IFA 2026, beauty and wellness technology was presented less as a category of standalone devices and more as part of a connected digital environment. Wearables collect information about sleep and recovery, cameras scan the face, body assessment systems track physical indicators, and apps use this data to personalise content and recommendations.

Technology entrepreneur and CM MentalGrowth founder Egor Rubtsov attended the show to explore new products, join industry sessions and share practical insights with professionals from across the consumer technology sector.
The Beauty Tech & Wellbeing area featured wearables, digital fitness solutions, smart clothing, recovery technology and health apps. A dedicated Beauty Hub served as an interactive lab where visitors could try skincare devices, LED masks, body assessment systems and other beauty-tech products. The format demonstrated how technologies once associated with specialist treatments are moving into everyday home use.
One of the key sessions was Unboxing the Future of Beauty Tech and Wellness: Everything as a Score and You Are the Data.
The session examined how sleep, steps, recovery, readiness, biological age and skin condition are increasingly being turned into digital scores. In beauty tech, the data involved is especially personal: a smart mirror analyses the face, a connected haircare device assesses the scalp, and home devices are starting to take on tasks that once required a visit to a specialist.
The discussion went beyond the technical capabilities of these devices. How accurate are such assessments? Do they help people change their behaviour? Where is the line between a useful recommendation and added pressure? At what point should digital analysis give way to professional support?
“The real question starts once the metric has been calculated. A score on its own says very little. The product needs to determine what that information means for a particular person and what it makes sense to suggest next,” says Rubtsov.
This view is grounded in hands-on experience building consumer products. CM MentalGrowth has built seven B2C apps across health, fitness and wellness, generating over 2.5 million iOS installs and reaching more than 8 million users on the web.
The company works both with information that users share directly and with behavioural and progress data generated within its products. Rubtsov points to Mimika, a digital wellness product developed by CM MentalGrowth, as an example of this approach. Its scoring and AR-based facial movement analysis work behind the scenes, helping to assess how exercises are performed and tailor recommendations without overwhelming the user with technical metrics.
IFA also showed that the next challenge extends beyond any single app.
Wearable devices can continuously track activity, sleep, recovery and other aspects of everyday life. Apps can take into account a person’s goals, past actions and changes in behaviour. AI can cross-reference these signals and work out what matters most at any given moment.
“The value of wearables goes beyond automated data collection. Their full potential will be realised when those signals can feed into apps that understand a specific user need. The result should not be another chart but clear feedback or a useful recommendation,” Rubtsov adds.
The shift towards connected wellness systems raises a commercial question as well as a technological one. Independent developers may understand specific user needs more deeply and be better placed to build focused, user-friendly products. Their future, however, may depend on whether they can work with data generated by wearables and connected devices.
Following IFA, Rubtsov sets out the central question for the next stage of the market:
“What does the future hold for independent app developers? With the user’s consent, will they be able to access data from watches, rings and other devices, or will those signals stay locked inside closed ecosystems? And what will ultimately make a user choose one service over another – access to more data, a more user-friendly product or the ability to solve a specific problem?”

Korean K-Beauty Brand Brandino Meets 14 US Buyers at Surf Expo 2026 to Enter North American Market
K-beauty company Brandino (SORBLE, Auralish) held meetings with 14 US distribution buyers, including Panama Jack, Innisfree Hotels and Dorado Beach Resort and Club, at Surf Expo 2026 in Orlando, Florida. Its SORBLE bubble sunscreen and Auralish haircare line drew sample requests, quotations and pricing negotiations from buyers across Florida, Texas, Maryland and Puerto Rico. The Seoul-based multi-brand company will continue its global expansion at Mega Show Hong Kong in October 2026 and CES 2027 Eureka Park in January 2027.
Seoul, South Korea, 6th Oct 2026 – Brandino Co., Ltd., a Korean K-beauty and multi-brand commerce company, announced that it held business meetings with 14 North American distribution buyers at Surf Expo 2026, the leading outdoor and lifestyle wholesale trade show held in September in Orlando, Florida. The meetings mark the company’s first step toward offline distribution of its Korean sunscreen and haircare brands in the United States.

K-Beauty Sunscreen and Haircare Draw US Retail and Hospitality Buyers
According to the company, participants included US sun care brand Panama Jack, hospitality buyers from Innisfree Hotels and Dorado Beach Resort and Club, and a range of boutique and online marketplace buyers. Interest came from across Florida, including Tampa, Orlando, Naples and Key West, as well as from Texas, Maryland and Puerto Rico. Among the buyers was a multi-store retailer operating approximately 20 locations.
Brandino presented the bubble sunscreen and night pack from its K-beauty brand SORBLE, along with three products from its premium Korean haircare brand Auralish. The company said many buyers highlighted the mousse and bubble textures, which reduce white cast and stickiness compared with conventional sunscreens, as a key point of differentiation. A significant number of meetings progressed to sample requests, quotations and detailed pricing discussions.
“We confirmed real market response in North America based on our proprietary formulation technology and the competitiveness of K-beauty,” said Lee Min-woo, CEO of Brandino. “We will finalize our first offline market entry in the United States with a focus on resort and specialty distribution channels.”
Global Expansion Roadmap: Mega Show Hong Kong and CES 2027
Following Surf Expo, Brandino plans to accelerate its global expansion by participating in Mega Show in Hong Kong in October 2026 and in Eureka Park at CES 2027 in Las Vegas in January 2027. The company is seeking distributors, retail partners and hospitality buyers interested in Korean sunscreen, skincare and haircare products.

PropLaunch Partners with Axcera and RUBIK to Simplify Prop Firm Launches
Partnership combines operating support, technology infrastructure and specialist risk expertise for entrepreneurs launching proprietary trading firms
DUBAI, UAE, October 6th, 2026 — PropLaunch today announced a new strategic partnership with Axcera and RUBIK Prop Firm Consulting to provide entrepreneurs with a coordinated infrastructure and operational framework for launching and running proprietary trading firms.

The partnership brings together PropLaunch’s operating model, Axcera’s technology infrastructure, and RUBIK’s specialist expertise in risk management and prop firm operations. The companies will work together to support founders with key requirements including technology, trading platforms, account management, payments, onboarding, risk processes, and ongoing operations.
Launching a proprietary trading firm typically requires founders to coordinate multiple technology providers, payment services, trading platforms, operational systems, and specialist functions. Managing these requirements independently can create significant upfront costs and operational complexity, particularly before a new firm has established its customer base.
Under the partnership, PropLaunch will coordinate the overall operating framework for founders, including onboarding, configuration, trading platform connectivity, payment infrastructure, and ongoing operational support. Founders will retain control of their brands, commercial strategies, marketing activities, and trader acquisition.
Axcera will provide the technology infrastructure supporting the operation, including trader-facing systems, account management, back-office workflows, automation, and infrastructure designed to support trading accounts at scale.
RUBIK will provide specialist risk and operational expertise, supporting areas such as evaluation structures, trading rules, monitoring frameworks, and payout review processes.
“I’ve been thinking for a long time about how to make it easier for serious founders to enter this industry. There are many people who know how to build a brand and attract customers, but putting the technology, operations and risk processes behind that brand together is a very different challenge,” said Rachid Belhadj, Founder of PropLaunch.
“That is why I approached Axcera and RUBIK. I wanted PropLaunch to be built around strong specialists in the areas that matter most. By bringing those components together, we can lower the operational and financial barriers to getting started and allow founders to put more of their capital and attention into actually growing their business.”
Ruben Abitbol, Founder and CEO of RUBIK, said the partnership will also help founders establish risk processes at an early stage of development.
“Risk management should be part of how a prop firm is designed from the beginning, rather than something introduced only once payout requests or problems start appearing,” said Abitbol. “Working with PropLaunch and Axcera allows us to help founders put the right evaluation structures, trading rules and monitoring processes in place early.”
Herman Shaho, Co-Founder of Axcera, said the partnership will provide an additional route for entrepreneurs who want access to established technology infrastructure as they enter the industry.
“Axcera has increasingly focused on serving larger, established prop firms with more complex technology requirements. At the same time, there are many serious founders who want to enter the industry but are not yet at that stage.”
“PropLaunch gives those entrepreneurs a more accessible way to start with strong technology, operational support and risk expertise from day one, without having to commit to the same level of upfront cost and operational complexity that would normally come with sourcing and integrating those capabilities separately.”
PropLaunch currently supports proprietary trading firms across forex, CFDs, futures, and crypto, depending on the trading platforms, payment providers, and third-party services selected for each operation. Support for additional markets, including prediction markets, is planned.
The partnership is intended to provide founders with a more coordinated route from initial setup to live operations, while allowing them to focus their resources on brand development, marketing, customer acquisition, and business growth.
