Budapest Scientologists Mark 10 Years of expansion and social betterment at Vaci Road Church

Hundreds of parishioners gathered for an anniversary service, music and a retrospective of a decade in which the Budapest Ideal Church has also hosted drug-prevention, human-rights, humanitarian and interfaith activities.

Brussels, Brussels, Belgium, 12th Aug 2026 — Celebrating 35 years of expansion in the country, and 10 since the grand opening of their Ideal Church, hundreds of Scientologists gathered at the Church of Scientology in Hungary on Vaci Road in Budapest to mark the anniversary, celebrating a decade that has combined religious life with an expanding programme of community, educational and interfaith activities.

The anniversary programme included a religious service, live music, a photographic and video retrospective of the past decade and a presentation of plans for the years ahead. Following the formal programme, participants remained at the church for informal conversations over traditional Hungarian food, recalling milestones in the development of the Scientology community since 1990 and specially since the ideal place of worship opened in 2016.

The Vaci Road church was formally dedicated on 23 July 2016 in Budapest’s District XIII. Mr David Miscavige, ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, officiated at the opening of the Budapest Church of Scientology, which brought together Scientologists and guests from Hungary and other Central and Eastern European countries.

The six-storey building was established as an Ideal Org, the term used within Scientology for a church designed to accommodate the full range of religious services while also providing facilities for public information, educational initiatives and community programmes.

That opening represented an important stage in a Hungarian Scientology history extending back to the final years of the 1980s. Tamás Nagy encountered Scientology in Zurich, while Kornél Varga became acquainted with the religion in Stuttgart. After returning to Hungary and meeting one another, they helped organise the developing community, with the Church of Scientology formally established in Hungary in 1991.

Over the following decades, the community developed activities in different parts of the country (and surrounding countries), culminating in the establishment of the Vaci Road headquarters.

The building today combines spaces dedicated to Scientology religious training and spiritual counselling with classrooms, meeting areas, a chapel and an extensive public information centre.

On the ground floor, visitors can explore the “What Is Scientology?” audiovisual exhibition, containing hundreds of videos explaining the beliefs and practices of Scientology, the life and work of its founder L. Ron Hubbard, the development of the religion and the humanitarian and social initiatives supported by Scientologists.

The first floor contains facilities for studying Scientology approaches to everyday life, while additional floors accommodate ministerial training and auditing, the one-to-one spiritual counselling practised within Scientology. At the top of the building is the chapel, which can accommodate close to 300 people for religious services and other gatherings.

Since its opening, thousands of people have entered the Vaci Road building, including many visitors who are not Scientologists. Open-house events provide opportunities for members of the public to learn about the religion and its activities, while the premises have also hosted drug-prevention conferences, human-rights events, humanitarian meetings and Holocaust remembrance programmes.

At least twice each year, the church also organises interfaith dialogue gatherings designed to bring together representatives and members of different religious traditions, be it catholics, budhists, hindus, sijs, christians and the like. These meetings focus on shared values, peaceful coexistence and the principle that religious diversity can contribute positively to society when accompanied by mutual respect.

The community activities in Budapest form part of a broader range of humanitarian and social betterment programmes supported by Scientologists internationally and inspired by the work of L. Ron Hubbard.

These include the Truth About Drugs drug-prevention programme, which provides factual educational materials concerning commonly abused substances; Youth for Human Rights International and United for Human Rights, which promote awareness of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; The Way to Happiness, a nonreligious common-sense guide to better living written by Hubbard; and the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, who provide practical assistance to individuals and communities in times of need.

Drug prevention has been one of the more visible areas of community engagement by Hungarian Scientologists. At the 2016 inauguration, retired Pest County Police Chief Brigadier General István Komáromi recalled cooperation associated with the first Drug-Free Hungary Marathon in 2002 and subsequent prevention activities that continue to reach towns and cities around the country.

Human-rights education has likewise formed part of the church’s community calendar, alongside programmes aimed at dialogue between religious and cultural groups.

The tenth anniversary was therefore not only an occasion to remember the opening of the building but also an opportunity to review how the Vaci Road church has developed as a religious home and as a meeting place for wider civic and social initiatives.

Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the European Union, OSCE, Council of Europe and United Nations, connected the Budapest anniversary with the wider role religious communities can play in European civic life.

“A church becomes part of the social fabric of a European city not only through its religious services, but through the relationships it builds with neighbours, civil society and people of other beliefs. Ten years of an open religious home in Budapest also means ten years of opportunities for dialogue, human-rights education, prevention and practical community service. Europe is strongest when freedom of religion or belief goes hand in hand with civic responsibility, respect for human dignity and peaceful cooperation among people with different convictions.”

The anniversary also brought attention back to the origins of the Hungarian community and to the role of L. Ron Hubbard in the development of Scientology.

Mr Hubbard founded Scientology in the early 1950s following his earlier work on Dianetics. His writings and recorded lectures form the theological and practical foundation of the religion, including its religious services and a number of programmes concerned with education, drug prevention, human rights and community assistance.

The concept of an Ideal Org also originates in Mr Hubbard’s vision of Scientology churches capable of providing the religion’s complete range of spiritual services while serving as points from which members can contribute to their surrounding communities, a vision that has been brought to reality thanks to the leadership of Mr David Miscavige..

The international Ideal Organization programme has since resulted in the establishment of major Scientology churches in cities across Europe and other regions of the world.

For the Budapest congregation, the tenth anniversary connected several generations of Hungarian Scientologists. Those involved in establishing Scientology in Hungary in the early 1990s have witnessed the community develop from relatively small groups into a permanent religious centre on one of Budapest’s principal urban corridors.

A newer generation now participates in the religious, educational and community programmes based there.

The celebration concluded with attention turning toward the next decade at Vaci Road, maintaining the building as a home for Scientology religious life while continuing to provide space for dialogue, education, humanitarian activity and encounters between people of different backgrounds and beliefs.

The Church of Scientology, its churches, missions, groups and members are present across the European continent. Scientology Europe reports a continent-wide presence through more than 140 churches, missions and affiliated groups in at least 27 European nations, alongside thousands of community-based social betterment and reform initiatives focused on education, prevention and neighbourhood-level support, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.

Within Europe’s diverse national frameworks for religion, the Church’s recognitions continue to expand, with administrative and judicial authorities in Spain, Portugal, Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany Slovakia and others, as well as the European Court of Human Rights, having addressed and acknowledged Scientology communities as protected by the national and international provisions of Freedom of Religion or belief.

Traction Marketing Launches Specialised Answer Engine Optimisation Framework for Architecture Firms

Published

on

Traditional, image-led architecture websites are increasingly invisible to AI “answer engines” like ChatGPT and Gemini. Without a machine-readable “digital blueprint,” firms risk being ghosted by AI or having their expertise misattributed to competitors. Traction Marketing’s new AEO framework resolves this by translating design excellence into structured data, ensuring that when developers ask high-intent questions about feasibility and planning, your firm is the cited authority, not just a hidden link

Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, 12th Aug 2026 — In architecture, a beautiful facade means nothing without structural integrity. The same is now true for your digital presence. For years, firms have relied on minimalist, image-heavy websites to speak for their expertise. But in the era of AI-powered “answer engines,” that silence is becoming a liability. When ChatGPT or Google Gemini can’t “read” your design philosophy, they don’t just skip you, they often misattribute your work or invent a narrative for you.

As AI-powered “answer engines” replace traditional search, Traction Marketing has launched a new AEO framework designed to ensure your firm’s expertise isn’t just seen, it’s cited. We’re helping architects move beyond the portfolio page and into the definitive answers provided by the next generation of search.

The Hidden Cost of the “Minimalist” Website

The architectural industry is facing a unique crisis of discoverability. As potential clients move away from traditional keyword searches and toward conversational AI, the “first page of Google” is being replaced by a single, definitive recommendation. If your project data isn’t structured for these machines, your firm effectively ceases to exist in the AI’s worldview.

“AEO is no longer just a marketing choice; it is a form of brand protection,” says the team at Traction Marketing. “Without a machine-readable digital blueprint, firms risk having their sustainability credentials, material innovations, and award wins ignored or, worse – AI hallucinations”.

The Structural Breakdown: How AEO Works for Architects

  • From Imagery to Intelligence: Implementing “Answer-First” hierarchies that translate visual achievements into clear, declarative statements about methodology, materials, and project outcomes.
  • Question-Led Architecture: Restructuring page headings to answer the high-intent, commercial questions developers actually ask AI, such as:
    • “What are the common council planning hurdles for multi-residential builds in Christchurch?”
    • “How can I maximise floor area ratio on a constrained heritage-protected site?”
    • “What is the typical lead time from concept design to building consent for industrial projects in Canterbury?”
  • The Semantic Foundation: Embedding advanced Schema Markup into the site’s code, acting as a technical translator that tells AI exactly which projects are yours, your specific role in the build, and which awards you have won.
  • Precision Content Chunking: Breaking complex design philosophies into concise, single-topic segments to ensure AI citations remain accurate and contextually relevant, preventing “hallucinations” or misattribution.

Beyond Search: The Recommendation Era

The industry is moving from a “search” economy to a “recommendation” economy. In this new landscape, being found is no longer about matching a keyword; it is about being the most trusted data source for a specific answer. For architecture firms, this shift is the difference between being a “suggested link” buried on page four and being the “cited authority” in a direct ChatGPT or Gemini response.

By adopting these structural changes, firms can protect their intellectual property from being misattributed and ensure that their specific innovations in urban planning and design are the ones being fed into the global AI knowledge base.

Ensuring Design Dominance

This evolution in digital strategy allows firms to maintain total control over their project narratives. It ensures that when the next generation of property developers and city planners consult AI for expert partners, the “structural integrity” of a firm’s digital data matches the excellence of their physical builds.

Ancient Texts, Modern Questions: New Book Explores the Recurring Mystery of Polydactyly Throughout History

Published

on

Footprints of the Gods: Extra Digits—The Mark of the Giants by Jim Vieira and Greg Maestro explores the recurring appearance of six-fingered and six-toed figures across ancient civilizations, archaeological artifacts, religious texts, and historical traditions.Drawing on material from Mesopotamia, the ancient Near East, Jordan, Iran, North America, and other regions, the book examines whether these unusual depictions reflect symbolic art, real cases of polydactyly, or cultural traditions connected to rulers, heroes, and divine figures. The authors also discuss references from texts such as the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Book of Enoch, and biblical passages.Rather than promoting a single theory, Vieira and Maestro present a broad collection of archaeological and historical evidence and invite readers to consider why similar motifs appear across distant cultures. The book aims to encourage further discussion and research into the relationship between archaeology, mythology, physical characteristics, and ancient belief systems.Footprints of the Gods: Extra Digits—The Mark of the Giants is now available on Amazon.

New York, New York, United States, 12th Aug 2026 – For centuries, archaeologists, historians, and readers of ancient literature have examined artifacts, inscriptions, and traditions that raise questions about humanity’s distant past. A newly released book, Footprints of the Gods: Extra Digits—The Mark of the Giants, by Jim Vieira and Greg Maestro, brings together archaeological discoveries, historical records, and ancient narratives to examine one recurring detail found across multiple civilizations: the depiction of individuals with six fingers and six toes.

Rather than presenting a single conclusion, the book surveys evidence drawn from Mesopotamia, the ancient Near East and many more spanning nine regions where unusual anatomical features appear in sculptures, seals, religious imagery, and historical texts. The authors explore whether these recurring depictions were symbolic artistic choices, representations of real individuals with polydactyly, or part of broader traditions surrounding rulers, heroes, and divine beings.

Among the artifacts discussed are Mesopotamian cylinder seals, ancient amulets, stone sculptures, and archaeological finds that depict figures with extra digits. The research also examines references from ancient literature, including the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Book of Enoch, alongside religious passages that mention individuals described as having six fingers and six toes.

The publication highlights how similar motifs appear across geographically distant cultures, prompting questions about whether these parallels developed independently or reflect shared traditions that spread over time. Rather than focusing on sensational claims, the authors encourage readers to examine the available evidence and consider how archaeology, mythology, and written history sometimes intersect in unexpected ways.

In addition to discussing well-known archaeological sites in Mesopotamia, the book references discoveries from Jordan, Iran, and North America, where images and carvings featuring extra digits have also been documented. By comparing these findings, the authors seek to identify recurring patterns that have received relatively little attention in mainstream discussions of ancient history.

The work also explores how ancient societies associated physical characteristics with status, ancestry, and religious significance. Throughout history, unusual anatomical traits have often been interpreted differently depending on cultural context, sometimes serving as symbols of authority, divinity, or distinction.

According to the authors, the purpose of the book is not to rewrite history but to encourage closer examination of archaeological evidence and historical sources that continue to generate scholarly and public interest. By assembling material from multiple civilizations into a single volume, the book invites readers to consider whether recurring details preserved in artifacts and texts may warrant further research.

As public interest in ancient civilizations, archaeology, and historical mysteries continues to grow, Footprints of the Gods: Extra Digits—The Mark of the Giants contributes to the ongoing conversation by presenting a broad collection of historical references, archaeological discoveries, and visual evidence related to one of antiquity’s more unusual recurring themes.

The book is now available on Amazon.

Silicon Valley Technology Consultant Tamar Toledano Says Businesses Are Replacing Hype With Measurable Results

Published

on

San Francisco, California, Aug 12, 2026, ZEX PR WIRE — After years of companies racing to adopt the latest technology trends, many organizations are taking a more disciplined approach to innovation. From blockchain and NFTs to the metaverse, businesses are increasingly evaluating emerging technologies based on measurable business outcomes rather than market excitement. According to technology consultant Tamar Toledano, this shift reflects a growing recognition that successful digital transformation depends on solving real operational challenges, not following industry hype.

Many enterprises are now introducing formal review processes for experimental technology initiatives. These include predefined performance milestones and “kill switches” that end projects if they fail to demonstrate meaningful adoption or measurable business impact within a specified timeframe. The approach allows organizations to redirect resources toward initiatives that generate lasting value rather than prolonging costly experiments. “The technology itself is rarely the problem,” said Tamar Toledano. “Problems arise when organizations adopt technologies simply because they are popular. Every investment should begin with a clearly defined business objective and a practical path to measurable results.”

The technology industry has experienced multiple waves of enthusiasm around emerging innovations. Blockchain promised to transform industries beyond finance. The metaverse generated ambitious predictions of work and commerce. NFTs attracted billions in investment from companies eager to establish digital ownership strategies. While each technology demonstrated legitimate use cases, many organizations launched projects without identifying problems that genuinely required those solutions.

As enthusiasm outpaced practical implementation, businesses encountered rising development costs, integration challenges, uncertain customer demand, and limited returns on investment. Many pilot programs never advanced beyond proof-of-concept stages, while others were quietly discontinued after failing to produce meaningful business benefits.

According to Toledano, these experiences have encouraged organizations to adopt more disciplined technology evaluation frameworks. Rather than asking whether a technology is innovative, decision-makers are increasingly asking whether it improves efficiency, reduces costs, increases revenue, or enhances customer experiences. “The conversation has shifted from asking, ‘Should we use blockchain?’ to asking, ‘What business problem are we solving?’” Toledano explained. “That change in thinking leads to much stronger investment decisions.”

The same mindset is increasingly shaping enterprise AI adoption. While artificial intelligence continues to deliver measurable value across industries, organizations are becoming more selective about where and how they deploy it. Rather than implementing AI across every department, companies are identifying high-impact use cases where automation, prediction, or data analysis can generate measurable operational improvements.

Toledano believes this represents a healthier stage in the technology adoption cycle.

“Successful organizations recognize that not every emerging technology deserves immediate deployment,” she said. “Sometimes the most valuable decision is determining that a problem can be solved more simply with existing tools.”

Throughout her consulting career, Toledano has helped organizations evaluate emerging technologies through the lens of long-term business performance. Her approach emphasizes aligning technical investments with strategic objectives, ensuring that innovation supports operational goals rather than becoming an objective in itself.

She notes that many companies now require technology initiatives to meet measurable benchmarks before receiving additional funding. These benchmarks may include user adoption rates, operational savings, revenue generation, customer satisfaction improvements, or implementation efficiency. Projects that consistently fail to meet those objectives are discontinued, allowing organizations to focus on higher-performing initiatives.

This disciplined approach also reduces the risks associated with rapidly changing technology markets. Rather than making large, irreversible investments based on future expectations, businesses can validate assumptions through smaller pilot programs before committing additional resources. “The most successful digital transformations are built on continuous learning,” Toledano said. “Organizations should be willing to test new ideas, but they should be equally willing to end projects that do not create measurable value.”

Looking ahead, Toledano expects enterprise technology strategies to become increasingly evidence-driven. Executive teams are placing greater emphasis on measurable outcomes, cross-functional collaboration, and disciplined investment governance. As a result, technology decisions are becoming more closely aligned with overall business strategy rather than industry trends.

She believes this evolution will ultimately strengthen innovation by encouraging companies to pursue technologies with proven practical benefits instead of chasing every emerging trend. “When organizations prioritize outcomes over excitement, innovation becomes far more sustainable,” Toledano added. “The goal is not to adopt the newest technology. The goal is to build better businesses.”
