AgiBot Has Built an Open-Source Ecosystem Supporting Data Collection and Deployment Across Different Ontology Platforms
China, 11th Oct 2025 – AgiBot officially announced on September 23 that its general embodied base model, GO-1 (Genie Operator-1), had also been open-sourced on GitHub, following the open-sourcing of the AgiBot World embodied intelligence million-real-robot dataset in January this year. It has become the world’s first general embodied intelligence model adopting the Vision-Language-Latent-Action (ViLLA) architecture to be freely available to developers worldwide, which will lower the technical barriers to embodied intelligence and accelerate industry development.
As a significant technological breakthrough in the field of embodied intelligence, the ViLLA architecture adopted by GO-1 successfully bridges the semantic gap between image-text input and robot action execution by introducing implicit action tokens. This architecture employs a three-tier collaborative design:
- the VLM multimodal understanding layer, built on InternVL-2B, processes multimodal information such as multi-view visual images, force feedback signals, and language input, providing the system with superior scene perception and command understanding capabilities.
- the Latent Planner accomplishes high-level understanding and planning of complex tasks by predicting implicit action tokens.
- the Action Expert leverages a diffusion model to generate high-frequency, precise continuous action sequences, ensuring the robot performs delicate operations. Compared to traditional VLA architectures, ViLLA demonstrates improvements in action understanding and execution precision.
Furthermore, AgiBot has developed Genie Studio specifically for embodied intelligence scenarios, serving as a one-stop development platform that provides developers and partners with a full-stack solution. The platform offers comprehensive support throughout the entire process, from data collection and management to model training and fine-tuning, as well as simulation evaluation. The out-of-the-box GO-1 base model integrates a Video Training solution and a unified training framework, featuring a complete built-in development toolchain that enables one-click compilation and deployment on real robots, effectively enhancing development efficiency and accelerating the implementation and application of embodied intelligence technology.
In terms of community collaboration, although GO-1 was pre-trained only on data from the AgiBot G1 robot, it has undergone sufficient validation and testing on various platforms such as Agilex, ARX, and Franka Robotics, demonstrating excellent portability. In simulation environment tests, it has achieved leading performance on mainstream simulation platforms like Genie Sim and Libero. For real-robot deployment scenarios, to meet the diverse platform needs of users, the GO-1 model specifically integrates the universal LeRobot data format, ensuring that even non-Genie ontology robots are able to complete data collection, model fine-tuning, and deployment.

Open Dialogue Project Launches 2026 International Essay Contest on Global Development

The Open Dialogue project, established as an independent international platform for cross-cultural exchange and economic discourse, aims to facilitate meaningful conversations between emerging leaders and established experts on pressing global issues. Contest organizers emphasized that selected proposals will be compiled into a comprehensive report for review by international economic development panels and think tanks.
The contest’s first edition demonstrated significant global engagement, with submissions exploring themes ranging from sustainable urban development to digital transformation in emerging markets. According to program statistics, the initial competition resulted in 100 finalists being selected for an international forum in Moscow, where they presented their concepts to industry leaders, academics, and policy advisers.
“The diversity of perspectives we received – from technology entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley to social innovators in Sub-Saharan Africa – highlighted the universal nature of the challenges we face and the creative solutions emerging from different corners of the world,” said Anna Petrova, the contest’s international coordinator.
The 2026 contest expands on previous themes while introducing new categories focused on artificial intelligence ethics, climate adaptation strategies, and inclusive economic models. Participants can submit essays in their native languages, with translations provided by the organizing committee to ensure broader accessibility and evaluation fairness.
The initiative connects with a broader domestic program called “Dreams of the Future,” which engaged 4,000 young professionals across Russia through creative video submissions. That program required participants to envision future scenarios beginning with the phrase “We want to create a future in which…” while incorporating references to science fiction literature curated by cultural institutions.
Educational partnerships have been established with universities in Europe, Asia, and the Americas to promote participation and provide academic support for contestants. The Open Dialogue platform has also launched dedicated social media channels and online resources, including webinars and mentorship programs, to support participants throughout the submission process.
Contest submissions will be evaluated by an international jury comprising economists, social scientists, technology experts, and sustainability specialists. The evaluation criteria include innovation, feasibility, potential global impact, and alignment with sustainable development objectives.
Winners will receive opportunities for international internships, research grants, and participation in global economic forums. The top 100 finalists will be invited to Moscow for a week-long summit featuring workshops, networking sessions, and presentations to international organizations.
The Open Dialogue project represents part of a growing trend of international platforms seeking to engage younger generations in addressing global challenges through collaborative approaches. Similar initiatives have emerged in recent years, including the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community and various United Nations youth engagement programs.
Oreshkin noted that the most promising proposals would receive support for pilot implementation through partnerships with development organizations and private sector sponsors. “We’re not just collecting ideas – we’re building pathways to turn visionary concepts into tangible solutions,” he stated.
The contest accepts submissions through March 31, 2026, with preliminary results announced in May. Final presentations and awards ceremony are scheduled for October 2026 in Moscow, coinciding with an international economic development conference.
Registration and submission guidelines are available in multiple languages on the Open Dialogue platform’s website. Organizers confirmed that all broadcasts and recordings of related events, including preparatory webinars and the final ceremony, will be available through the project’s social networks and digital channels.

Kazakhstan’s universities strengthen their leadership in the Times Higher Education global ranking
Kazakhstan took first place among Central Asian and Caucasus countries in terms of the number of universities included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026. Five Kazakh universities made the list, with Nazarbayev University entering the global top 500 for the first time.
According to the ranking, Nazarbayev University rose to positions 401–500, the best result ever achieved by a Kazakhstani university. The second most significant achievement was Al-Farabi Kazakh National University maintaining its position in the 1201–1500 range. Also featured in the ranking were L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Satbayev University, and the Kazakh Research and Agrarian University.
Across Central Asia and the Caucasus, a record 17 universities from five countries entered the ranking, with Kazakhstan being the most represented.
For comparison, Uzbekistan had four universities on the list this year, including the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, which entered the top 600 for the first time. Azerbaijan doubled its presence to four universities, while Georgia was represented by three institutions.
