DrivePoint CDL Academy Launches Transportation Workforce & Safety Initiative
Program is part of DrivePoint’s efforts to strengthen Colorado’s professional driver pipeline and build Colorado’s next generation of professional drivers and transportation professionals.
United States, 1st Sep 2026—DrivePoint CDL Academy, a Denver-based training and testing facility for commercial driver’s licenses (CDL), today announced the launch of its Transportation Workforce & Safety Initiative. The initiative trains future commercial vehicle operators in safety skills that go beyond driving-related requirements. The goal is to augment Colorado’s pipeline of professional drivers, which is currently shrinking, and build Colorado’s next generation of professional drivers and transportation professionals.

“At DrivePoint, our mission extends beyond CDL training,” said Alisha Brown. “We believe professional drivers play a vital role in our communities, economy, and public safety. Through workforce development, safety leadership, and community engagement, we are committed to supporting the next generation of transportation professionals.”
The initiative supports career pathways into transportation and commercial driving, promoting transportation careers as stable, high-demand professions in the process. It provides training opportunities for career changers, veterans, women, and individuals entering the transportation industry. The initiative works by partnering with employers to develop safer and more qualified drivers. By so doing, the initiative will help address workforce shortages in trucking, utilities, municipalities, passenger transportation, and fleet operations.
“Transportation is essential infrastructure,” Brown added. “Most people don’t even realize how much their communities rely on skilled drivers to keep goods, utilities, public services, and people moving. As the industry struggles with a shortage of trained professionals, we are all going to feel the effects soon. Our initiative intends to avert problematic outcomes.”
Safety leadership is one of the initiative’s core objectives. As Brown put it, “Professional driver training is about far more than passing a test. It is about creating a culture of safety.” To this end, the initiative emphasizes risk awareness, training students to perform thorough vehicle inspections and reinforcing the importance of brake safety, cargo securement, and compliance.
Brown added, “We support employers in building safer fleets and reducing preventable incidents. By encouraging professionalism and accountability in the transportation industry, we are fielding graduates who contribute to safer roads for everyone, including families, commuters, emergency responders, and fellow motorists.”
DrivePoint invites employers, workforce development organizations, municipalities, community partners, and aspiring transportation professionals to join the conversation about building a stronger, safer transportation workforce for Colorado.

RISE Robotics Awarded $100,000 MassVentures Grant to Accelerate Commercialization of Beltdraulic Technology
Somerville, Massachusetts, USA, September 1st, 2026, FinanceWire
RISE Robotics, a developer of electric actuation technology for heavy machinery and defense applications, today announced that it has been awarded a $100,000 START Grant from MassVentures, a competitive, non-dilutive program of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts supporting the commercialization of advanced technologies. As a Stage I awardee, RISE is also eligible to compete for up to $800,000 in total START funding as it advances through subsequent stages of the program.
The award provides additional support for RISE’s efforts to expand commercialization of its Beltdraulic technology. Beltdraulic is a high-force electric actuation system designed to replace traditional hydraulic systems with a fluid-free architecture, delivering hydraulic-class force with greater digital control, improved efficiency, and precision.
Hydraulics have been a foundational technology in heavy machinery for decades, powering equipment ranging from construction machinery to agricultural and industrial systems. RISE is developing an alternative architecture based on electric motors, belts, and pulleys that is designed to deliver high force without hydraulic fluid.
The MassVentures START award adds to RISE’s growing track record of government-backed technology development.
In February 2026, RISE received a $3 million U.S. Air Force Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI) award to advance SuperJammer, its fluid-free munitions handling system, toward testing and evaluation. SuperJammer applies RISE’s electric actuation technology to demanding defense environments where precision, reliability, and the elimination of hydraulic fluid can provide significant advantages.
The two programs support complementary stages of RISE’s commercialization strategy. The Air Force award supports development and productization of the technology for defense applications, while the MassVentures START Grant supports efforts to translate the underlying technology into broader commercial markets.
“This award is a strong validation of the progress we’ve made translating advanced engineering into real-world systems,” said Hiten Sonpal, CEO of RISE Robotics. “Massachusetts continues to be an important partner in helping companies like ours move from breakthrough technology to commercial deployment.”
RISE is targeting the broader heavy machinery market, where the company estimates the opportunity at approximately $750 billion. Its Beltdraulic platform is designed to enable equipment manufacturers to replace conventional hydraulic systems with electric actuation while also creating a foundation for digital control, teleoperation, and autonomous operation.
RISE Robotics has generated more than $9 million in total revenue to date and is currently conducting a Regulation Crowdfunding offering that is open to both accredited and non-accredited investors.

TrendEadvisor Launches Global Multi-Asset Platform Combining Online Investing with Social Trading
Montreal, Canada, September 1st, 2026, FinanceWire
Launching September 1, 2026, the fintech platform will provide access to stocks, ETFs, commodities, forex, and other financial assets, supported by social and copy-trading tools.
TrendEadvisor.com today announced the official launch of its online trading and investment platform, designed to make participation in global financial markets more accessible, connected and easier to navigate.
The platform brings multiple asset classes into one digital environment, allowing users to explore opportunities across stocks, exchange-traded funds, cryptocurrencies, commodities, forex and other financial instruments. Instead of moving between disconnected services, TrendEadvisor gives users one place to research markets, monitor activity and manage their investment decisions.
At the centre of the platform is a social trading experience built around observation, transparency and shared market knowledge. Users can follow experienced investors, review their trading activity and see how different approaches respond to changing market conditions.
TrendEadvisor also includes copy-trading functionality, enabling users to automatically replicate selected trades from investors they choose to follow. This feature lets you engage with established strategies while keeping control over your account settings and investment decisions.
“Financial markets can feel unnecessarily complicated, particularly for people entering them for the first time,” said Linda Bouchard, spokesperson for TrendEadvisor. “We created TrendEadvisor to bring market access, investment tools and the human side of trading into one clear experience. Users can explore independently, learn from others and decide how actively they want to participate.”
Interest in online investing has expanded as individuals seek greater control over how they access and understand financial markets. At the same time, the growing number of instruments, platforms and sources of information has made the process increasingly fragmented.
TrendEadvisor.com aims to reduce that friction by combining broad market access with tools that help users discover, compare and follow different investment approaches.
The platform has been developed for a wide range of users, from people beginning to explore investing to experienced market participants looking for a connected multi-asset environment. Its interface brings together portfolio information, market data and social trading features across compatible devices.
Users can browse financial assets, monitor market movements and follow investor profiles based on their interests and objectives. The platform’s social features provide additional context around market activity, helping users move beyond isolated price charts and see how other participants approach opportunities and risk.
Copy trading does not remove the risks associated with investing. Market conditions can change quickly, and the previous performance of an investor or strategy does not guarantee future results. TrendEadvisor encourages users to understand the financial instruments they select, consider their personal circumstances and make decisions that reflect their individual tolerance for risk.
The launch reflects a broader change in financial technology. Investors increasingly expect platforms to offer more than access to transactions. They also want useful information, intuitive technology and opportunities to learn from wider communities.
“Our goal is not to tell people what to trade,” Bouchard added. “It is to give them a more informed and connected way to participate. Technology should make financial markets easier to understand without hiding the fact that every investment decision involves risk.”
TrendEadvisor will officially launch on September 1, 2026. Product availability, financial instruments and platform features may vary according to each user’s jurisdiction and applicable requirements.

Ascent Petrochem Launches Global Dichloromethane Supply Chain Service Framework
New framework helps global buyers manage compliance, quality control, hazardous chemical logistics, and delivery risks in methylene chloride procurement.
During the restructuring of the global dichloromethane market, Ascent Petrochem Holdings Co., Limited launches a global dichloromethane supply chain service for international buyers.
Ascent Petrochem Holdings Co., Limited today announced the official launch of its global dichloromethane supply chain service framework to provide better and more stable cooperation. The service targets global chemical distributors, pharmaceutical raw material manufacturers, paint and adhesive manufacturers, electronic precision cleaning service providers, and metal degreasing processing companies.
This solution addresses widespread procurement pain points in the industry, such as product compliance, batch stability, transportation safety, documentation accuracy, and clarity of responsibilities, responding to the challenges faced by international methylene chloride buyers. Cognitive biases between collaborating parties and other unavoidable factors often lead to increased hidden landed costs.
In the traditional model, factory production relies heavily on experience and subjective assumptions, making it prone to disputes such as discrepancies between goods and orders, non-compliance with local import regulations, lack of quality control documentation, and unclear logistics responsibilities. Ascent Petrochem’s new service model demonstrates to buyers how to translate their needs into standardized production documentation for factories, addressing the complexities of cross-border chemical procurement.
This process guides buyers to combine their own needs with the regulatory rules and other uncertainties of different destinations into standardized, controlled orders, minimizing uncertainties arising from default assumptions for both parties.
A Market at a Crossroads
Dichloromethane’s applications cover pharmaceutical intermediate synthesis, precision cleaning of electronic components, solvent-based coatings and adhesives formulation, metal surface degreasing, chemical extraction and purification processes, polyurethane foam blowing agents, and printing industry film removal.
The pharmaceutical industry is one of the largest end-use areas for methylene chloride, serving as a key solvent in product manufacturing. The mainstream grades of dichloromethane on the market are divided into three categories: industrial grade (purity ≥99.5%), pharmaceutical grade, and electronic grade (purity ≥99.9%).
These grades have differentiated requirements regarding limits for moisture, acidity, evaporation residue, heavy metals, and total impurities to match the technical standards of different end-use applications.
China has become the world’s largest producer of dichloromethane. In 2025, its dichloromethane exports reached 213,000 tons, a record high, representing a year-on-year increase of 40.9%.
The global methylene chloride market was valued at approximately US$3.2 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach US$6.1 billion by 2035, indicating steady growth in the global market. Besides the European and American markets, demand is also increasingly active in regions such as Turkey, the UAE, Vietnam, Brazil, and India.
However, due to its inherent toxicological characteristics and environmental impact, methylene chloride is subject to strict regulation in major global markets. Both the US EPA and the EU REACH have clearly stipulated restrictions.
Covering multiple dimensions such as import permits, occupational exposure limits, environmental emission standards, and packaging and transportation specifications, the complexity and compliance threshold of dichloromethane’s cross-border procurement are far higher than those of ordinary chemical products. These factors are reshaping the trade patterns of dichloromethane.
Key Procurement Checkpoints
1. Confirm Destination Compliance Requirements.
Buyers in each region must verify the latest regulations for their specific destination and application before placing an order, such as hazardous chemical import permits, environmental registration requirements, and customs clearance qualifications.
Regulatory rules vary significantly across different countries, regions, and industry applications; it is crucial to mitigate compliance risks from the outset.
2. Confirm Product Specifications
When procuring according to their own needs, buyers must verify the specifications and parameters of each batch of dichloromethane product listed in the order: product grade (industrial grade/pharmaceutical grade/electronic grade), purity, moisture content, acidity, evaporation residue, and other core indicators.
This is especially important for orders with strict requirements for purity and impurity control, or those requiring customized formulations.
3. Establish Dedicated and Controlled Order Documentation.
Methylene chloride is a hazardous chemical, requiring a Hazardous Goods Declaration Form, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), transport classification, and customs clearance documents.
Effective verification also includes batch quality inspection reports (COAs), core indicator verification records, sealed samples, packaging integrity inspection, loading process documents, and corresponding order photographs. Important information such as purchase volume and shipping marks should all be compiled into a single authoritative document.
4. Confirm Logistics and Delivery Terms
Appropriate packaging specifications, UN-certified packaging, leak-proof reinforcement, hazard labels, a full set of shipping documents, loading certificates, agreed international trade terms, insurance, and destination port charges must all be confirmed with the order.
Before order fulfillment begins, the boundaries of transportation responsibility and risk allocation must be clearly defined.
In summary, what should buyers confirm before purchasing dichloromethane?
Destination regulatory requirements, complete product grade and indicator parameters, inspection certificates and packaging specifications, and clear delivery terms. This plan elaborates on each item and clarifies which decisions must be included in the formal order documentation.
This distinction is of practical significance for both buyers and industrial end-users. It provides them with a reusable benchmarking framework, enabling them to compare direct quotes from different suppliers under equivalent standards, avoiding the misconception that a lower unit price equates to the total landed cost.
Simultaneously, it encourages and clarifies aspects such as product, logistics, regulations, and delivery for buyers. Its core value lies in providing a documented and traceable consensus standard for both parties, reducing hidden costs, and offering early warnings and risk-sharing for unforeseen circumstances.
“The core of cross-border dichloromethane procurement is not price comparison. International buyers need more than just a product specification sheet; they need a trustworthy partner who understands the complexities of cross-border chemical procurement—from quality control to regulatory compliance,” said the General Manager of Ascent Petrochem. “We hope to establish a transparent and standardized partnership with buyers, reducing hidden costs throughout the supply chain and giving buyers confidence in every shipment.”
Ascent Petrochem’s proposed solution serves various buyers in the dichloromethane sector and incorporates the order review standards the company uses in trade communications with clients in major export markets such as Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
This workflow is for practical reference only and cannot replace local regulations, customs requirements, packaging standards, etc., regarding hazardous chemicals management.
Buyers can send the product destination, required grade, quantity, and related needs to Ascent Petrochem, and we can provide customized compliance assessments and supply solutions.
