I’ll never forget the impact this story had on me when I first encountered it during the audition process.
It made me reflect not only on Hinase, but also on myself and on what it means to be human.
The story stayed with me long after I finished reading it, so it’s both an incredible honor and a great responsibility to be part of it as Hinase.
The characters are deeply complex, and the themes are equally intricate. Because of that, everyone involved—from director Shundo to the cast and production team—is approaching every recording session with great care and sincerity, always striving to find the best way to bring this story to life. It’s also incredibly reassuring that the author, Yoshimura-sensei, joins us in the studio for every recording session.
As a fan of the original manga myself, I can’t wait to see this story brought to life through SHAFT’s stunning animation.I may have made it sound very serious, but don’t worry! There are also plenty of heartwarming, funny, and heart-fluttering moments.
So please relax, enjoy the journey, and have fun watching!

Additionally, comments have arrived from the director, Kana Shundo, and the music, Yuki Hayashi.
Director: Kana Shundo
PROFILE: Representative works include Apocalypse Hotel (Director Debut) and Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie (Assistant Director).
Comment from Kana Shundo:
Kana Shundo
One of the first things that catches your eye when reading the original manga is its beautiful use of two-color artwork.
The turquoise color, which represents emotions that are normally invisible, is one of the manga’s most distinctive visual elements. Bringing that subtle emotional shimmer to life in animation has been an incredibly rewarding challenge.
We’re putting a great deal of care into bringing the beautifully illustrated characters and their story to the screen, and I hope audiences around the world will enjoy watching it.
Music: Yuki Hayashi
PROFILE: Soundtrack composer affiliated with Legendoor. Representative works include My Hero Academia and Haikyu!!.
Comment from Yuki Hayashi:
Yuki Hayashi
I had the honor of composing the music for the anime “Just Like Mona Lisa.”
With every piece, I poured my heart into creating music that would gently accompany the story’s delicate emotions—what it means to live true to yourself and to truly connect with others. The atmosphere so beautifully captured in the original manga is brought to life in the anime through the combination of voice performances, animation, and music. I sincerely hope this creates a new way for audiences to experience and connect with the story.
It would make me truly happy if this series could quietly find a place in someone’s heart.
I hope you’ll enjoy the broadcast.

RELABEL HAIR MyeongDong Emerges as Seoul, Korea’s New Creative Beauty Destination for Global Travelers
Since opening in MyeongDong, RELABEL HAIR has attracted international travelers and visitors seeking a new kind of K-Beauty experience built around hair, art, creativity, and Energetic Recovery.
Seoul, South Korea, 18th Sep 2026 — RELABEL HAIR has officially opened its new MyeongDong location in the heart of Seoul, and the response has been immediate.

Since opening its doors, RELABEL HAIR MyeongDong has seen a strong influx of international travelers visiting Korea, with guests from around the world seeking Korean hair styling, professional color services, head spa, scalp care, and customized hair treatments. The salon is also attracting growing attention from the global entertainment community, with international figures visiting RELABEL HAIR during their time in Seoul.
More than simply another new salon in MyeongDong, RELABEL is quickly establishing itself as a new kind of destination — one where Korean hair culture, art, creativity, and recovery come together.

A New K-Beauty Destination in the Heart of MyeongDong
MyeongDong has long been one of the most recognizable destinations for international visitors to Seoul. Known around the world for Korean skincare, cosmetics, fashion, shopping, and food, the area has become an essential stop for travelers looking to experience contemporary Korean culture.
RELABEL HAIR MyeongDong brings another dimension to that experience. Rather than experiencing K-Beauty only through skincare and cosmetics, international travelers can now discover Korean beauty through professional hair design, creative color, head spa, scalp care, and personalized styling. For many travelers, a visit to RELABEL is becoming part of the Seoul experience itself.
Why International Travelers Are Choosing RELABEL
RELABEL HAIR has built a strong reputation for working with international clients. Its designers have extensive experience with customers from different countries, allowing them to understand a wide range of hair textures, facial features, beauty preferences, lifestyles, and cultural differences in styling.
Rather than applying the same Korean hairstyle to every client, RELABEL begins with personalized consultation. The designers consider each guest’s hair condition, facial structure, personal style, desired image, and daily lifestyle before recommending a look. This approach allows international visitors to experience contemporary Korean hair trends without losing their own individuality.
At RELABEL HAIR MyeongDong, guests can experience:
- Korean-inspired haircuts and styling
- Professional hair coloring and creative color design
- Personalized hair consultation and customized hair treatments
- Head spa, scalp care, and recovery programs
- Styling tailored to individual facial features and personal image
Energetic Recovery: The Philosophy Behind RELABEL
At the center of RELABEL is the concept of Energetic Recovery. RELABEL believes that beauty should do more than change how a person looks. Modern life constantly consumes energy. Work, travel, relationships, social environments, and everyday routines can leave people physically exhausted and mentally disconnected from themselves.
RELABEL sees the salon as a place where that energy can be restored. A visit to RELABEL is designed as a moment of reset — an opportunity to step outside the rhythm of everyday life, focus on oneself, and leave feeling refreshed, recharged, and newly inspired.
This idea of Energetic Recovery runs through the entire RELABEL experience. It is expressed not only through hair styling and beauty services, but also through head spa, scalp care, treatments, music, spatial design, visual identity, artwork, and the atmosphere of the salon itself. RELABEL does not simply want guests to leave looking different; it wants them to leave feeling different.
Not a Conventional Hair Salon
RELABEL approaches the idea of a hair salon differently. Instead of designing a purely functional space for beauty services, RELABEL brings together hair design, art, visual culture, creative direction, spatial experience, and contemporary lifestyle.
Artwork, objects, graphics, visual details, and creative installations are integrated throughout the space. These elements are not simply decoration; they are part of RELABEL’s belief that beauty and personal style are forms of creative expression. For RELABEL, a salon can be more than a place where customers receive a service — it can also be a place where people encounter new visual ideas, moods, culture, and inspiration.
This creative approach gives RELABEL HAIR MyeongDong a distinctive identity that separates it from conventional salons. For international visitors, it offers the opportunity to experience not only Korean hairstyling, but also the creative energy shaping contemporary Seoul.
Where Hair, Art and Contemporary Korean Creativity Meet
Korean beauty has become a global cultural phenomenon, but RELABEL believes the next generation of K-Beauty experiences will extend beyond products and trends. The brand sees hair, art, space, music, and personal identity as interconnected.
At RELABEL HAIR MyeongDong, professional salon services exist within a larger creative environment. A haircut can become a form of self-expression, hair color can become a creative statement, a head spa can become a moment of recovery, and the salon itself can become part of a traveler’s cultural experience of Seoul.
This combination of professional beauty expertise and creative culture is increasingly resonating with international guests looking for something more personal and memorable than a conventional salon visit.

From Hair Salon to Creative Beauty Destination
With international travelers already visiting the MyeongDong location soon after its opening, RELABEL HAIR is positioning itself as more than a place to get a haircut during a trip to Korea. The brand aims to become a destination travelers actively choose as part of their Seoul itinerary.
Guests may arrive for a Korean haircut, a color transformation, scalp care, treatment, or a relaxing head spa. But RELABEL wants them to leave with something more: a new style, new energy, new inspiration, and a new perspective on themselves.
In one of Seoul’s most internationally recognized neighborhoods, RELABEL HAIR MyeongDong offers a new way to experience K-Beauty — through hair, art, creativity, and recovery.
About RELABEL HAIR
RELABEL HAIR is a Korean creative hair salon brand built around the philosophy of Energetic Recovery. Known for serving a large international clientele, RELABEL combines professional hair design with art, creative direction, visual culture, and personalized beauty experiences. Its designers provide customized haircuts, styling, professional coloring, head spa, scalp care, and treatment services based on each customer’s hair condition, facial features, lifestyle, and personal identity.
Rather than operating as a conventional salon, RELABEL creates spaces where beauty, art, creativity, culture, and recovery coexist. The brand’s philosophy can be expressed simply: Recover your energy. Rediscover yourself. RELABEL yourself.

The platform covers both Test and club rugby, giving readers a single destination for following competitions and teams across different parts of the sport.
Rugby Critic tracks live scores, fixtures, league tables, and standings, while also providing weekly Power Rankings, team and competition profiles, head-to-head history, match previews, and recaps. Its coverage includes major international competitions such as the Six Nations and Rugby Championship, as well as international windows and club competitions including the United Rugby Championship (URC), Top 14, and Super Rugby Pacific.
A central part of the platform is its focus on combining sports data with fan participation. The platform’s scores, standings, and statistics are sourced from licensed sports-data providers and updated automatically throughout the day. Competition tables and Power Rankings are recomputed on a scheduled basis so that they reflect the latest available results.
Rugby Critic also maintains a human editorial review process for its written content. Every news article and match report is written or edited by a named member of the editorial team before publication. The platform uses AI tools to assist with routine content such as match previews and recaps and to support research. However, AI-assisted drafts are reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human editor before they are published.
This editorial approach combines the efficiency of modern technology with human oversight. Rugby Critic also states that when errors are identified, the publication works to correct them openly. Automated sports data can occasionally lag or contain errors, and readers are encouraged to report issues so they can be reviewed and corrected.
By bringing together live match information, competition standings, statistical features, editorial coverage, and fan interaction, Rugby Critic is developing an online destination focused specifically on the rugby community.

Wayne Walton Commits to a Student-First Standard for High School Athletic Departments
-
Wayne Walton is formalizing a personal standard for how high school athletic departments should support student development, and he is committing to apply it in his own work going forward.
A standard built from two decades of practice
New York, USA, Sep 18, 2026, ZEX PR WIRE — Wayne Walton has worked across educational leadership, athletics, student life, and college advising for years. He served as Athletic Director and Dean of Students at EF Academy New York. Before that, he worked in college advising and NCAA recruitment at IMG Academy, and he coached girls’ basketball at Kent School, where his teams won two New England Class A championships.
That range of roles, coaching, advising, and administration, gave him a close view of where school athletic programs succeed and where they fall short. Walton is now putting a name to the approach he has used across those roles: a personal standard for treating athletics as part of a student’s education, not separate from it.
“A team should never compete with a student’s education. It should reinforce it,” Walton said. “Every decision I make as an administrator starts from that idea.”
The standard, stated plainly
Walton’s standard has three parts, each one drawn from practices he has followed in his own work.
Academic standing comes first. Before any conversation about playing time or recruitment, Walton checks in on how a student is doing in the classroom. He treats this as the starting point for every athletic decision, not an afterthought.
College advising is part of athletics, not separate from it. Walton’s time in NCAA recruitment at IMG Academy shaped how he thinks about the two functions. He believes athletic staff should understand the college process well enough to guide families through it, rather than leaving that work entirely to a separate office.
Coaches are teachers first. Walton has coached basketball himself, and he holds coaches to the same standard he held himself to on the bench: results matter, but so does what a player learns about effort, teamwork, and handling setbacks.
“None of this is complicated,” Walton said. “It just requires putting the student ahead of the scoreboard, every time, even when that is the harder call.”
Why he is formalizing it now
Walton has followed these principles informally throughout his career. He is naming them now to give other administrators and coaches a clear reference point.
“I did not always call it a standard,” he said. “But I noticed that the schools with the best outcomes were the ones where the athletic department and the academic side talked to each other. I want to make that a stated rule, not just something that happens to work out.”
He points to his own coaching record as an example of what the standard looks like in practice. His girls’ basketball teams at Kent School won two New England Class A championships, and Walton attributes part of that success to keeping players focused on the classroom first.
“Winning came from discipline that started well before practice,” he said. “Study habits, sleep, showing up on time. The basketball part is downstream from all of that.”
What Walton is committing to
Going forward, Walton says he will hold himself to three concrete practices in any athletic administration role:
-
Reviewing academic progress for student-athletes on a regular schedule, not only when a problem appears.
-
Making college counseling resources visible and available to students well before recruitment season.
-
Requiring that coaching staff treat student development, not just win totals, as a measure of a season’s success.
“These are not new ideas,” Walton said. “But writing them down and holding myself to them is different from just trying to do the right thing in the moment.”
He also holds a First Aid and CPR certification and is a member of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, both of which he sees as part of the same commitment: treating student welfare as a baseline requirement of the job, not a bonus.
Walton is a former Private School League Commissioner. He says that experience across multiple schools convinced him the standard needs to travel beyond any one building.
“I have seen it work in more than one setting,” he said. “That is why I am willing to put my name on it.”
Consulting services
As part of this commitment, Walton is available to consult with schools, athletic departments, and sports organizations that want guidance grounded in the standard he has laid out. His areas of work include athletic department operations, coaching development, student-athlete support, interscholastic scheduling, league administration, NCAA recruiting, and building a positive culture within school athletic programs.
School and college placement advising
Walton also draws on his experience helping students and families navigate secondary-school and college placement. He offers personalized guidance through the search and application process, including identifying appropriate schools and colleges, evaluating academic and athletic fit, preparing students for interviews, and helping families understand admissions and recruitment requirements. He has particular experience working with student-athletes navigating independent-school admissions, college athletics, and the NCAA recruiting process.
