In 1990, he earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Union Institute with an interdisciplinary curriculum including Vedic studies, culminating in his dissertation, Toward an Applied Vedic Psychology.
While continuing his academic pursuits, he worked in psychiatric hospitals, group homes, prisons, and private practice for more than 25 years as a licensed psychologist and health services provider. He has previously authored a unique translation and commentary on the quintessential Yoga Sutras of Maharishi Patanjali entitled A Readable Yoga.
Married since 1980, he and his wife are currently international administrators for the TM organization. The proceeds from this book will go to the development of higher education institutions in Africa.
