Surpassing 300 Orders – SDLG Makes a Major Impact at Indonesia Mining Expo 2025
SDLG made a strong statement at the Indonesia Mining Expo 2025, Southeast Asia’s largest and most influential event for mining and construction machinery. Held at the Jakarta International Expo, the company unveiled two flagship products—the E6900H hydraulic excavator and the L980HEV electric wheel loader—to the global market for the first time. The launches underscored SDLG’s latest achievements in large-scale, intelligent, and electric machinery, while securing more than 300 equipment orders during the exhibition.
The strong sales momentum was boosted by SDLG Customer Appreciation Night Event held on the eve of the expo. Attended by more than 240 guests, the event featured a review of the company’s growth, showcased SDLG’s strengths in reliability, energy efficiency, environmental performance, and localized service, and introduced special promotional offers. With over 100 confirmed orders that night alone, the event set an energetic tone for the expo and strengthened both Chinese and Indonesian customer relationships.
As ASEAN’s largest economy, Indonesia has seen rising demand for construction machinery, driven by the relocation of its capital, the expansion of nickel and coal mining, and the benefits of the ASEAN Free Trade Area. Since entering the market, SDLG has pursued a strategy of deep local engagement, with products widely deployed across nickel mining, port operations, and stockyard management.
In April 2025, SDLG officially launched its Indonesia branch, building a localized operating system that includes a nationwide sales and service network, a centralized parts warehouse, and training programs for local technical talent. The expo provided a platform to reinforce this presence and demonstrate the company’s long-term commitment to the region.
At its 1,100 m² exhibition booth, SDLG presented a diverse lineup of flagship equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, and road rollers. Models such as the E6135H and E6375H excavators drew attention for their efficiency and adaptability, while the L936HEV electric wheel loader attracted crowds with its zero-emission and low-noise performance.
In the road construction segment, the RS7120H road roller and G9290H motor grader stood out for their advanced compaction and leveling capabilities. Demonstration models including the SR800H skid-steer loader and B877F backhoe loader showcased agile and efficient performance in real-world operations, highlighting SDLG’s versatility across a range of conditions.
On the second day of the expo, SDLG held a high-profile launch for its two newest models.
The E6900H hydraulic excavator, designed specifically for large-scale mining, delivers 377 kW of rated power, an operating weight of 84 tons, and a 6 m³ bucket capacity. With an advanced hydraulic system and optimized structural design, it is engineered for durability and efficiency in the toughest mining conditions.
The L980HEV electric wheel loader represents SDLG’s latest breakthrough in new-energy machinery. With an 8-ton rated load capacity and dual-gun fast charging, the machine can recharge from 20% to 100% in just 1.37 hours. Intelligent electronic controls and a thermal management system extend its operating range to 5–9 hours, delivering significant gains in energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and cost-effectiveness.
Both models attracted strong interest, with SDLG signing agreements with several well-known Indonesian companies, further strengthening its partnership ecosystem in the country.
Speaking at the launch, Shi Shengyong, Deputy General Manager of SDLG and General Manager of the Marketing Company, emphasized the company’s long-term strategy:
“SDLG has always maintained a customer-centric approach, leveraging our international R&D and manufacturing capabilities to deliver stronger, smarter, and more energy-efficient products. The release of the E6900H and L980HEV marks a milestone in our response to the global shift toward large-scale and electric machinery. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen local service capabilities, enhance parts support and technical training, and provide true full-lifecycle value to our customers.”
Against the backdrop of Indonesia’s expanding infrastructure projects and the transition to green mining, SDLG reaffirmed its guiding principle of “efficiency first, technology leadership.” The company plans to deepen investment in the Indonesian market, strengthen local partnerships, and build a collaborative ecosystem that supports both infrastructure expansion and sustainable mining development across the Asia-Pacific region.
With its commanding presence at the Indonesia Mining Expo 2025, SDLG reinforced its reputation as a global leader in heavy equipment, advancing the industry’s shift toward efficiency, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

Anthony Helinski Makes the Case for Bringing Hands-On Learning Back to the Classroom
Anthony Helinski, a Salem, New Hampshire educator and engineer, argues that practical, hands-on instruction produces more durable outcomes than abstract curriculum alone.
The Problem With Learning That Stays on Paper
New Hampshire, US, 20th March 2026, ZEX PR WIRE, After seven years teaching science and reading at Lawrence Public Schools in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Anthony Helinski developed a clear view of what separates students who retain information from those who do not. Inquiry-based learning, hands-on problem solving, and real-world application consistently outperformed passive instruction. The students who built things, tested things, and handled real materials in the classroom were the students who came back to class asking questions.

Helinski’s method was not accidental. It was the result of deliberate design, informed by his training in universal design for learning and his instinct for matching instruction to the learner rather than the learner to the instruction.
What Hands-On Learning Actually Requires
Practical instruction requires investment, and Helinski has never been reluctant to make that case. During his time in Andover, Massachusetts as an engineering and design teacher, he ran a civil engineering club and a woodworking club after school hours. He designed lessons around robotics, rocketry, and ergonomics. He created the conditions for students to encounter real problems and work toward real solutions.
The same philosophy informed his later work in the utility sector, where he developed onboarding and operator qualifications curriculum for Progressive Pipeline Management, a specialized pipelining company serving major east coast gas utilities. The principles carried over. Clear objectives, tested methods, iterative improvement.
Four Trends Shaping How People Learn in 2026
In a piece recently published by Barchart, Helinski outlined key shifts in how learning, work, and creation are evolving. His perspective draws on both classroom experience and field engineering, producing analysis grounded in practice rather than theory.
Helinski has also been featured in Brainz Magazine and AccessNewswire discussing the importance of returning to practical problem-solving frameworks in educational settings. His view is consistent: learning that cannot be applied has limited value, and the gap between academic instruction and real-world competency is a structural problem worth addressing directly.
What Educators and Learners Can Do Right Now
Helinski’s recommendation is to begin with the simplest version of hands-on engagement available in your current environment. Identify one concept in your curriculum or training program that could be demonstrated physically rather than described verbally. Build the demonstration before refining it. Test whether understanding improves. Iterate from there.
The engineering design process does not require expensive equipment. It requires a clear question, a method for testing answers, and a willingness to revise based on what you learn.
Take one concept you currently teach or train abstractly and find a way to make it physical this week. Note the difference in engagement and ask whether the outcome improved.
