Announcement

During March, Alderley Group announced planning submission on our newest site, Howley Lane, Warrington in partnership with Livv Housing. The project will provide 67 one- and two-bedroom apartments along the River Mersey under a social rent scheme.

Alderley Group continues to expand our development pipeline with the introduction of 2 new sites to our acquisitions team. Manchester Road consists of 46 apartments based in Walkden, Manchester in partnership with Housing 21 – a leading, not-for-profit provider of Extra Care and Retirement Living for older people of modest means.

We have also begun the legal process to acquire another site which will allow the development of 30 houses in Mary Street in Rishton, Blackburn further highlighting the planned expansion works across the North West of England.

The Complete Construction team has also expanded with Nick Thawley, our Senior Contract Manager, joining the team, ensuring that the Site Managers for our new pipeline sites in the portfolio are being correctly managed and the project is being delivered according to its planned programme.

John Leonard, our Assistant Quantity Surveyor, joined the Complete Construction team to work alongside our Senior Quantity Surveyors in the delivery of our new projects.

Our Buyer team expanded over February and March with Peter Lyth joining the team alongside our current Buyer.

Our Site Team has also grown with the introduction of a new Site Manager and Site Operator on our Povey Road project.

Charity Initiatives

As a business that aims to make a positive impact on the community, we have actively begun to expand our social and environmental contributions.

Our Social Charity Partner has been selected, The Outward Bound Trust, a wonderful charity that provides outdoor adventure trips to children in areas local to our developments. Our donations and fundraising provide access to trips that improve children’s confidence, resilience, and transferrable skills, improving their well-being and employability.

Over the coming months, we will be working with the charity to create plans for the local schools we will be supporting and delivering the trips with places on the excursions being offered to our employees.

Our Environmental Partner has also been selected in the months of February and March. More Trees by THG Eco, will allow Alderley Group to launch our initiative of ‘Planting a Tree for Every Home We Build’, and continually improve our sustainability and environmental impact.

Summary

The first quarter of 2024 has seen both Alderley Group and Complete Construction making great strides, and building a solid foundation for continued, sustainable and meaningful growth.

We are delighted with the progress that has been made across all areas of the business and have robust infrastructure and systems to support further growth and ongoing success.
