Charlene Andersson’s Vision for a Kinder, Smarter Future

How a Los Angeles educator’s new books spotlight the urgent need for empathy, invention, and real-world learning in today’s classrooms

Los Angeles, CA, 5th July 2025, ZEX PR WIRE, In a time when anxiety, social disconnection, and academic pressure are rising among children, educator and therapist Charlene Andersson is offering a new path forward—one that blends creativity, compassion, and bold thinking. Featured in a newly released interview, Charlene shares the stories and values behind her two latest children’s books, which aim to spark emotional courage and intellectual invention in young readers.

Her new books, The Creative Adventures of the Brainstorm Buddies and A Circle of Friends, don’t just tell stories. They invite action. One introduces young readers to the world of invention, complete with a real provisional patent application. The other explores loneliness and kindness through the eyes of a child who changes someone’s life simply by being present.

“I wanted kids to feel that their ideas matter,” Charlene says. “When you guide them to see invention as an act of empathy, they stop thinking small.”

Charlene’s work aligns with a growing need in schools: safe environments that foster both innovation and emotional growth. According to recent data, over 70% of students report feeling stressed about school, and 1 in 5 children struggles with a learning difference. At the same time, studies show that children who feel emotionally supported are significantly more likely to succeed academically and socially.

Charlene’s approach—built on more than three decades of classroom experience and educational therapy—responds to this need by meeting kids where they are.

“I didn’t chase scores,” she says. “I chased trust. The scores followed because the students felt safe enough to try.”

That belief system has carried her across borders. In 2005, Charlene was selected as the U.S. delegate to Japan for international curriculum integration. She later consulted on education strategies in Cuba and the Middle East and worked with the U.S. Secretary of Education on differentiated learning. But her biggest wins often came in small, overlooked moments.

Her students once adopted an orphaned elephant in Africa, creating and auctioning artwork to help fund its care. The project sparked a passion for activism—many went on to form an animal advocacy group in high school. In another initiative, students led a community garden project and partnered with TOMS Shoes to organize a shoe drop, ultimately providing footwear to over 300 people in Africa. These projects not only made a tangible impact but also taught students the power of service-driven leadership.

Charlene believes that children need both challenge and care. “Not every solution is mechanical,” she adds. “Sometimes it’s just about being the one who stays, listens, and invites someone in.”

Her new books are a reflection of that belief—and a call to action for adults, educators, and policymakers alike.

Call to Action:

If we want to raise problem-solvers, visionaries, and empathetic leaders, we must rethink how we educate. Read with your child. Listen without fixing. Encourage them to build, imagine, and reach out to those left out. Create learning spaces where children aren’t afraid to feel or fail. That’s where the real change begins.

PrimeYield Opens Infrastructure Investment to the Masses Through Tokenization

Published

on

For decades, infrastructure has been the exclusive playground of institutional investors, gated by high capital thresholds and slow, opaque structures. PrimeYield is changing that by unlocking access to infrastructure assets through institutional-grade tokenization and decentralized governance.

PrimeYield enables investors to gain exposure to real-world infrastructure projects—such as renewable energy facilities, transportation networks, and public utilities—through legally compliant, tokenized vehicles. These assets are fractionalized, transparently governed via DAO mechanisms, and yield-generating in nature.

What sets PrimeYield apart is its hybrid architecture: off-chain legal trusts custody the underlying assets, while on-chain smart contracts handle issuance, ownership, and revenue distribution. Every token is backed by enforceable legal claims, fully auditable and compatible with global regulatory standards.

The PrimeYield platform offers access to a range of asset pools across sectors traditionally considered inaccessible to retail or DeFi participants. Through tokenized infrastructure, the protocol fosters inclusive capital participation while supporting sustainable economic development.

Real assets. Real yield. Real freedom.

Join the tokenized future of infrastructure investment with PrimeYield.

Azerbaijans National Science Team Wins First Place at the International APRSAF CanSat 2025 Competition

Published

The National Science Team of Azerbaijan, established under the initiative and organizational support of the SPACE Academy of Azercosmos, has secured first place at the prestigious international competition “APRSAF CanSat 2025.”

The National Science Team of Azerbaijan, established under the initiative and organizational support of the SPACE Academy of Azercosmos, has secured first place at the prestigious international competition “APRSAF CanSat 2025.” The event was organized in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

Held on July 12–13 in Wakayama, Japan, the competition brought together student teams from across the Asia-Pacific region. Azerbaijan was represented by a team of four university students from different higher education institutions in the country, guided and mentored by an expert from Azercosmos.

As part of the challenge, each team was tasked with designing and launching a miniature satellite measuring no more than 124 mm in length68 mm in diameter, and weighing between 250–300 grams. The hands-on experience aimed to foster practical knowledge and engineering skills among the students.

Despite its small size, the device includes all key systems of a real satellite, such as power supply, communication, and sensors, but is used solely for educational and experimental purposes rather than orbital deployment. These compact satellites challenge students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, encouraging innovation under strict physical and technical constraints.

The goal of the CanSat project is to equip students with hands-on training in aerospace engineering, teamwork, programming, system design, and technology testing that simulates real-world satellite functions. The interdisciplinary nature of the project also cultivates critical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills—competencies highly valued in today’s global space industry. This format is especially popular in international space and engineering competitions, including those organized under APRSAF, and serves as a gateway for many students into careers in satellite development and aerospace research.

In addition to Azerbaijan, the 2025 competition featured teams from ChinaJapanThailand, and the Philippines, further demonstrating Azerbaijan’s successful integration into the Asia-Pacific space ecosystem.

This remarkable victory underscores Azerbaijan’s growing reputation in the fields of space explorationengineeringSTEAM education, and scientific innovation, and reflects the country’s expanding pool of highly skilled young professionals.

It is worth noting that during the 2024–2025 academic year, several international educational initiatives were successfully implemented as part of Azerbaijan’s ongoing collaboration with APRSAF and JAXA, coordinated through the SPACE Academy. These included the APRSAF Space Poster Contest, a seminar on space, aviation, and STEAM, and a space observation initiative. These programs not only promoted scientific literacy and creativity among school and university students but also facilitated cross-cultural exchange and global networking.

Such international engagements continue to foster interest and knowledge among Azerbaijani youth in space sciences while further strengthening the country’s position on the global space stage.

The success of the Azerbaijani team is a testament to the long-term vision and strategic investment in space education by Azercosmos. Through initiatives like the SPACE Academy, Azerbaijan is not only nurturing future engineers and scientists but also positioning itself as a serious contributor to the international space community.
